True. But whether you believe that the volume of letters being posted is droping, or not. The fact is, that it isn't going to increase. Whereas, there are more and more items being ordered On-Line. Therefore, the number of items requiring delivery is increasing. But if we give a terrible service, because we're letting them pile up, rather than have sufficient staff to deliver them within the time, expected by the customers. Then they'll go elsewhere. Remember: Packets often ARE delivered by the leeches (er, I mean competition), rather than us via DSA.

These Managers will cost us a lot of jobs if they continue to get away with willfully delaying packets, through the excuse of "operational requirements". Think about it. :d'oh!

well i was told from a 'source', that all the d2ds left lying around the office, have to be to booked through as 'CONFIRMED', that was a direct instruction from the dom. in other words they are saying to the customers that they,ve been delivered when they havent.. if that had been a postie who had done that, you can bet your house on it, they would be on the dole now. wish there had of been an audit in the office,!!!

Managers were dumping ours in the rubbish skips.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

If that happens in our joint, I would have no qualms about reporting this to upper management and the CWU and the regulator. This is a case of wilful delay and not operational needs. These managers will be the first to have your P45 ready if the shoe was on the other foot. Lets get some balance in the workplace and start reporting what really is going on in Royal Mail.

Maybe being picky here but in the short term any drop in mail is counterbalanced by new residential addresses
in my delivery office, we got about 100 more delivery points in the last month with double that due early next year, our union
leadership used to bang on about this a couple of years back.

Also we seem to be getting a s**t load of DSA packets in our office(maybe its our location?),Citilink,TNT,and any other f****r with a license.
