I agree I think they have transferred the problem from Legs and lower back to Shoulders, arms and mid back region - basically all the muscles, bones and ligaments you use to pull the things.fishtank wrote:It is getting stupid...and unrealistic and a young man's game.krussel wrote: Its getting stupid![]()
My first frame was about 3.5 feet long and 233 calls
Getting the weight off the shoulder is fine and something we have needed for a long time but pulling a 38kg trolley for 4-5hrs plus in all weathers will bring with it a whole new batch of H&S problems.
I don't believe that either Royal Mail or the CWU has invested enough time or effort in researching the possible long term implications of these much larger delivery spans.

What about in the states as they have been using trolleys and large rounds for years. Anyone got an idea how long those guys are out on delivery for?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yeah i see what you mean it not as clear as yours
With the mail boxes on the edge of each property they must be HUGE, i mean if you ran that through Georoute you would prob be looking at a 3000 dp round
If you get any joy let us know it would be kind of interesting to see what they make of our system and pay scale.
