For some reason, large parts of this thread made me laugh. I guess it's the sheer stupidity of certain big-wigs that made me do it.

we are starting ours monday coming and guess what? they have asorted out people to come in early on S.A To do sorting. and all the people that where chirping that royal mail and the UNION hva done us over are COMING IN to do it as from next monday. oh and to boot our UNION REP(P***K) has been released next week to over see our office. my point being that if royal mail are doing this sham to SAVE MONEY then why are they offering S.A for early sorting when they said the computer system says it can be done? WSM not due in till next August earliest so almost 9 moths of S.A eraly sorting plus any cutt off''s done on O.T. how is this saving money when if they wait till next August they will not have to shell out the dosh and make savings that way!!!!!!!!!!! ONCE AGIN A WHOLE CROC OF SHITE. one things for sure i'm not coming in early nor am i walking on. SO SUCK EM COS I WILL BE CUTTING OFF IF I CANT DO MY FULL DUTY WITHIN MY DUTY TIME.
LOST MY FAITH AND LOST MY WILL TO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LONG LONG AGO.

Our revision in Dundee East kicked in this week as well.A TOTAL AND UTTER SHAMBLES!!
Our office manager tells us it's only teething problems(Ha! Ha!).
The problem stems from the lack of planning and logistics that should take place before a revision goes live.I cant recall any new duty being fully tested with the new tolleys using the new vans. The new duties take longer using trollies and the vans are too small for the purpose they were brought in for.You are now expected to deliver letters, packets, bulk, special deliveries and tracked items along with your door to door items. This is an impossible task as the walks have been made longer.A major rethink is required from management and particularly planning. We offered to be involved when the revision was being planned but we were never consulted.A BIG MISTAKE!! as none of the planning team come from Dundee. No doubt the bullying and harrassment from management will follow when there are problems completing duties even though they are to blame for this fiasco. :arrrghhh

One of the Divisional reps is from Dundee isn't he?
What has he had to say about anything?

Untill OPGs get used to the IPS changes and used to changed delivery frames then they will be naturally slower similar to new recruits. A bit of OT whilst learning new prep frames and IPS changes makes operational sense. Its withdrawing that O/T before everyone is up to speed that would worry me.
