Has this been agreed with union, the no travel time to and from start of duty...our revision is on stage 3, the duties are not signed off yet, we are trying to dispute them, again, we have been told, with regard to travel time, that "well, the CWU have agreed all this nationally"..is this the case, we can argue the toss, but would be nice to know it's not something the CWU have agreed to...

Of course 'that part' has not been agreed! How are you supposed to get out and get back!
If they don't move cancel stage 3,put in a disagreement and flag it to your ADR or higher.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

As I heard it they are to erect small portacabins at the point of all first deliveries, fully equipped with your frame, bike etc. I would have thought that was obvious

Come on Dingo, where are you to answer this anomaly??

Some have been told 3.30 last letter and that is town walks, this is goddam unacceptable and goes against the garbage agreement.

I hate to break this to you mclovin but the agreement actually said most by 2pm. :left:
The vast majority of letter deliveries are planned to be completed by 1430 hours and most by 1400 hours :cuppa

What's the point? They seem to have agreed to something that uses spurious and interchangeable words like 'most' which basically makes anything they've agreed completely pointless as most can very easily become some and none based on the other side's changing needs. If the union tells you the sky is blue, you'd best look up and check, then consult with scientists to make sure the wavelengths of the various colours in the spectrum have not changed before believing them. Then double-check for sure.

Having seen the MC and WSM delivery times to our office there is no feasible reason why we cant have a 2 or 2.30 last letter.

Theyre taking the pish.

They're trying to lay off staff by making finishing times impossible for people, they know a lot of us do this job for childcare reasons, and our lives are structured round that, by making it impossible they're trying to force people into leaving...now where's that Juankers smilie?
