D2D are live mail now remember.

2 in my DO have already been caught by IB for not delivering D2D properly in recent weeks.

I'm sure there must be others in the pipeline so be careful. :cuppa
IB, glad to see the boys out fighting crime in the Royal Mail.
I can just conjure up a vision of the "bust" they made last week, "OK, chummy....The game's up with you....We know you haven't been delivering the vitally important "Pizza face Pizzas, light & yummy, mummy" shyte that nobody really wants, nobody really looks forward to receiving, PWOPERLY! You're under arrest."

"D2D are live mail now remember." As the late, great, Tommy Cooper would have said, " Just like that." One minute they're shyte, the next minute they're still shyte, but vitally important shyte that must be imposed on customers whatever the cost in those customers perception of the service they receive from the Royal Mail.
Royal Mail has lost it's way, big time. :evil/mad

RM may have lost its way.
But I would rather not see any (more) of my colleagues lose their job over something so pointless.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

And so would I. But there's no point in pretending otherwise, thanks to the CWU's decision to agree with the RM senior management that our D2D burden should be increased, much to the total dismay of both customers and staff, there will be an increase in the number of colleagues sacked for dumping part, or all, of their D2D rubbish. Nice one, CWU. :evil/mad
And, there's no "may" about it, Royal Mail has not only lost it's way big time, it's almost way ahead of the small fry so-called competitors in that frantic race to the bottom.

You are now allowed to book overtime against D2D, as it is a bank holiday week and Tuesday won't be light enough to absorb the extra, we are getting 1 hour to complete them.

I only work 20 hours over 5 days p/w and like everyone else in our office, I prep and deliver all the d2d on my round, apart from what the floater does. If I go over my time through prepping d2d am I entitled to claim overtime? I've heard mixed messages on this and no doubt my DOM will say "NO". Would appreciate clarification.

If your manager argues, tell him to read the agreement.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
