Hard graft aint. But bad H&S rules, ignoring H&S issues, or their impact certainly will have, just like the building trade which is not really known for its observance of them is it. :hmmmm

No need for the :no no :no no

While you right in what you posted, its an incomplete statement, what you should have said IMO is

Everyone is responsible for health and safety in the workplace.

Management is responsible for providing workers with the necessary tools, training and protective equipment to perform the work safely, and with the time and direction to do so.

The worker is responsible for following the safety rules and using the appropriate controls and protective equipment to work safely.

You are obviously look for an argument not a discussion. I said nothing about whether we had the tools or not, each office will be different.

:whistle
but did I say we had them or not - No I simply stated that one of managements responsibilities is to ensure we have the necessary tools.

Read it again and you'll see you read something into my post that was quite simply not there.

royal mail only view h&s issues which they have to and dont look at proper issues like long term wear and tear etc.

ducking issues and saying "you are not performing upto standard" is their way around this and if you do rush and injure yourself you will directly get the blame.

now going back to trust..................we have to see they mean it first before we can think about voting yes.

anyone who does vote yes and gets bullied at a later date have only themselves to blame.

Although the discussion has sunk a bit,I cannot help but feel that we have been given the tools all along.Look at your ramp when everyone goes out.No uniform.Throwing the mail into private cars.It is a wonder how the hell we managed to get a 25% Part time workforce only on the proposed deal.We certainly look part time.
