Re: 100% or what ?
RM will obviously know in advance when Saturday specified D2Ds will be due in, there is nothing in the agreement to stop them adjusting us to longs and shorts on those weeks. After reading the words of the agreement does anybody here seriously believe the CWU will support anybody who repeatedly declines to conform to this?

Re: 100% or what ?
so its back to what was said earlier 3.00pm finish some will finish earlier so if your office is 3.00pm your looking at 3.30pm finish with d2d day specific if they make sat a long daynuman wrote:RM will obviously know in advance when Saturday specified D2Ds will be due in, there is nothing in the agreement to stop them adjusting us to longs and shorts on those weeks. Not possible as flexibility has to be given back "The same week" Not possible on the last day of the week is it, unless they ask you to come in 30 minutes earlier, so you'll still finish on time, in theory.

Re: 100% or what ?
I don't really know what I am talking about here but a situation arose in our office a couple of weeks ago when someone who does cover on various duties with different start and finish times was due to finish at a certain time on Saturday having fulfilled the requisite hours - anyway cut a long story short they were told it was a 6 week cycle and consequently "swings and roundabout" type of thing - anyone any the wiser?

Re: 100% or what ?
steer me right here i thought long and shorts was making some days shorter than others ie tues 7.5 hrs sat 8.5 hrs so if your on 40 (39)hrs aweek 5x8hr days and your finish time is 3.00pm then tue would be 2.30 finish and sat would be 3.30 finish iam i wrong in thinking this

That's correct. Obviously they would rather cut say half an hour off your Tue and offer extended delivery o/t if necessary than run the risk of Saturday only D2Ds failing and losing contracts.

And when Saturday only D2Ds arrive (let's face it, it's gonna happen sooner or later, I doubt RM have included it just to wind up potential NO voters), what do you suppose is going to happen? Also, if your office gets their way but your manager finds that the shorter Saturday leads to more booked o/t on that day and early finishes on lighter days do you think that will be allowed? Unless you're all intending to run around on Saturdays?

Re: 100% or what ?
Cant run with a trolley, and a duty at 100%. These will be factored into Pegasus/Geo-route, otherwise the whole thing is a pointless exercise.

And if Geo-route says you have more traffic on Saturdays than other days?

Re: 100% or what ?
Geo-route doesnt work on single days, it works on a one size fits all type program.
Meaning it will run on 100% every day, regardless of whether you're going to 100% or not.
And it will have to run it at significantly lower than 4mph, as that is not feasible with trolleys.
