CWU are de-recognised and apparently Royal Mail are going to allow local reps to stay on?

RM can't remove cwu reps from the workplace are you mad? They could only withdraw time given for cwu work so guys would have to do what they do now in their own time. It would cause so much trouble internally and externally it wouldn't happen.

CWU brings in a no vote, RM push through changes, Strike all out, lockout, weeks pass, people starved back in, new contracts waiting, union goes to the high court minimum representation allowed, therefore removal of facilities, RM would have nothing to lose because of financial instability. Reps in workplace ignored and ETs used just to get basic rights, RM does not want or care for the union removing facilities would destroy the union as we know it. UNiSON here we come.

At present I do work in my own time just to keep pace and thats with release. If RM remove facilities how many Reps do you think are going to have the time and inclination to do the basics? Do you think representation will be better? Go have have a look outside of your cocooned work inviroment and realise that the CWU is waking up to the fact that if we carry on like we are we will be left behind. Or do you think that somehow if a no result comes in you are going to get what you want? Reality bites!
