Re: What Would Get You To Change You're Mind...
There is a possibility here...and I am just guessing.
What Did we take industrial action For?
If it was for more money?...well some would say no. Some would say yes. (Mainly the un-managable workloads)
Or did we want to carry on as we were? (Not feesable...we are skint!)
Keep early Saturdays( maybe, but these new machines,(and we did during the dispute ask the business to spend the loan don't forget), with the amount of money they should be on 6 days per week.
D2D's? Well as mentioned,I know for a fact that these were about to go,(I spoke a a very senior manager last year and he did say this was in the pipeline).60% of our office don't do them. Upto 40% of our office contracts have been refunded over the last 4 years.
Our part times are treated like s**t.Give them the allowances.
3 and a half hour delivery spans. This is the big crunch. Will the business give more hours back once WE plan the walks? Our DSM has stated he would. Also any release time required for Geo Route training.
If you start at the latest at 7:00,and your last tray is 10:00,(for example). Your out the door at 10:30 ish. You won't be using a car. There-fore your acceleration is included. You would have to be back at 14:15-ish to pouch off etc plus your acceleration back.I would say you have just had a 3 hour span.
This may differ if your walk is closer. There-fore your indoor work is more then your span or vice versa. Spans will be different. As stated in another post. You Know and I know Mondays and Tuesdays are embarrasingly light. Why give them the opportunity to let them beat us with this stick?
Business plans : Never mentioned in the agreement,so don't bother.

This is big boys stuff my friend not a kid in a sweet shop (i want i want).
I really do give up if anyone on here thinks that given the whole backdrop to the dispute, automation, the economic and industrial climate etc this is in anyway, shape or form realistic.
It sounds more like a letter to Father Christmas than a dispute resolution.![]()

I think,to be honest it was a tongue in cheek wishlist Lovejoy.
Not everyone's aspirations have been lowered by the constant downdialling of expectations from HQ.

Re: What Would Get You To Change You're Mind...
There isn't anything in this new agreement that tackles the issues of bullying and harrassment by management to get their own way. This was supposed to have been addressed before the interim agreement, but was then conveniently just put on hold.
RM will just do what they want, when they want, regardless of agreements, this has been proven on many occasions and the union are too weak/can't be bothered to stop it happening.
It's everyman for himself.

Not having to go to a door with 1 item of mailsort or junk. Only go when you have 1st or 2nd. That would swing me very easily.

Re: What Would Get You To Change You're Mind...
But we are not being paid to deliver d2d EC, from the start of the new system (if it comes in) d2d will be treated as any other mail and included as workload/traffic. The delivery supplement recognises that delivery staff deserve an additional payment to reflect the difficulty of the job and those who work 40 hours in a difficult job should quite rightly get proportionately more than those who only work 30 hours in the same job. I suppose that next you will want the increased overtime rate to start at 30 hours instead of 40 and still have the IPS and frame prep done for you. To be honest, you are getting more than the full timers out of this because we are losing an early start allowance that most part timers never qualified for.el_cartero wrote:For part timers to recieve the same amount as full timers to deliver the same d2d.

Indeed mucker,a far more realistic aim and one which unfortunately has once again been ignored.....an agreement built on trust....not likely.

Re: What Would Get You To Change You're Mind...
So if i were doing a round with the exact same amount of doors as you have to go to and i have prepped the same amount of d2d's as you, who are you to say you should be paid more. You are unbeleivable. At least some fulltimers have the commonsense to see that we are being sh*t on.rhino49 wrote:But we are not being paid to deliver d2d EC, from the start of the new system (if it comes in) d2d will be treated as any other mail and included as workload/traffic. If you stopped delivering MS3 (I assume that's what you mean by Mailsort junk), then quite apart from costing hundreds of RDC and MC jobs. It would also mean that a lot of people wouldn't get non time specific mail. It's not all advertising, you know!DaveF14 wrote:Not having to go to a door with 1 item of mailsort or junk.
