Now as to his credentials to make comment on any subject whatsoever I would defend his right to do so whether he is a member of the union or not. potential member or not. He has quite freely stated that he is not a member, there may be many others posting on here who aren't members who express their opinion and it is not questioned. This is a forum, I may be a member of the Ferrari owners club Forum and copy and paste any old crap, not owning or knowing anything about Ferraris.
In any case it's a storm in a teacup, there's more pressing problems to contend with.
Their certainty is but too Bragg about it is unacceptable with those who pay for their say in our union but if he feels he could do a better job let him put his money where his mouth is!. If he can rant half as good in public after paying his due's he will go far very far!.
The cwu are due a pay rise after the agreement goes through
I'd hardly call that a rant k9 - what I do is rant
And? I remember not so long ago, a thread saying how CWU HQ team was worth every penny. Or is it 'my glass is half empty' regardless of whether or not its half full, or 'someone else is getting more than me'.
Don't believe everything you're told in the rest room

No you've misquoted there NT it wasn't EVERY penny it was A penny
The CWU likes to keep its members in the dark. Unit reps have the power to agree to local changes without consulting their members. Non members can demand to be informed of proposed changes.
If a member were to leave the union and just rely on the grievance procedure and advice available on RMC, they would be £156 a year better off and better protected.

In your opinion they would be better off. In mine they wouldn't.

The trouble is TBT his post was nothing to do with an opinion on the agreement. It was a snipe about CWU HQ when he is not even a member.
I agree - El Cartero is a shotgun poster - he starts threads randomly and without thought. He changes his mind on subjects sometimes from one post to the next. He complains about stuff in his job and does nothing to resolve them despite getting advice and encouragement on here.
My main reason for posting my comment was not to back up El Cartero but to point out that everyone is allowed an opinion but only those that can actually vote on the deal/issues in question, have an relevancy.
WELL I THINK HE CAN CHOP AND CHANGE HIS VIEWS AT WILL.INSINUATING THAT HIS VIEWS ARE IRRELIVENT ARE WELL IRRELEVENT
IF HE AND I AND 40 PERCENT OF ROYAL MAIL WORKERS SHOW OUR UTTER CONTEMPT FOR THIS PATHETIC UNION AND JOIN ANOTHER YOUR VIEWS WILL THEN BE IRRELEVENT

I'm sure joining a union with no recognition agreement would really strengthen your hand in the workplace
I'm with Lovejoy here, it does my box in when these non members expect the same from the cwu as members, free loaders is what there called and they make me sick.People like El Carto are on here trying to belittle/degrade the cwu and it's something we don't need . What do these people think the job would be like without the union??

So you fester from royal mail chat. sending in agents like dingo lovejoy etc etc .
And then have a go at me for using a seperate bodys forum.
im a free man
you dont own me
and furthermore im a part timer - one of your losers
The FT/PT status does not decide if you are better or worse off, the amount of delivery points, the amount of ESA and the amount of annual leave one is entitled to and the SWW, all play a part.

Perhaps you should read my post again - I did not say or even insinuate that his views are irrelevant, what I actually tried to say was that all opinions are welcome, but if you do not have a vote then those views have no relevancy on the vote itself. Now can you see my point.
Anyone with a box at speakers corner can air their views about the Policies and Politics of the day, but its only those voting during the General Election that have a say in the outcome. Its the exact same thing when it comes to votes and being a member of the CWU.
