i believe this deal paves the way for some stability within royal mail and we can now face the future with more confidence.
you can shout me down if you like - i still care about royal mail , i am the breadwinner in the family, and have 30yrs seniority.
i have still over 20yrs working till i retire and i would like to spend them at royal mail
i urge you to think further than d2d payments and vote yes

It might only be a moot point but Steven100 has a valid point about allowances - you know the driving allowance, well when Royal Mail have a plethora of drivers on park and loop who will be driving for NOTHING - guess whose allowance will be next in line? Of course that may be pie in the sky but we had grandfather rights on ESA - they need the money to pay us a pay rise so the next time they need a bob or two......................................................

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Re: why i am supporting the deal
I don't have a problem with people supporting the deal but all what i'm saying is the big issues our union has lost big time. Voting yes will only lead to problems in the long run. But the problems may well happen anyway. If people really tooth pick through the deal they realise the deal isn't delivering. All what we are doing with this deal is paying for the manager wage increase/bonuses.

What worries me is what happens when RM come back for more cuts?
I bet after the 3 years this deal lasts for we get the same old stuff from RM HQ about how the business is in crisis.
Crisis is good for modern business leaders as it allows them to cut cut cut and make huge bonuses out of the savings.
