They were thinking about themselves
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

The CWU gave us a bad deal in 2007 and instead of learning from their mistakes, they have done the same again, only compounding the problem...How many chances do we give them ? This is not down to the local members & reps who care about us, it's the national leaders who have let us down, they have consolidated THEIR position at the top table by SELLING out our terms and conditions. This is PERSONALLY going to cost YOU ££££, not just this year, but for the REST OF YOUR WORKING LIFE !IPS wrote:They were thinking about themselves
Unfortunatly the people at the top control everything and until the CWU leadership is changed I can only see a downward spiral for ALL postal workers.

From how i impret what Royal Mail intend with the door 2 door payments is really cunning!
Give us £25 per week every week in our basic wages. Then increase this from the current 3 sets to 5 sets and order us to deliver 1 set every day from monday to friday.
So from current earning the 3 sets at £30 per week, i go on to deliver all sets at £25 per week, thus losing out on the £50 i could earn.
I could be wrong as i havent studied it yet so please update / correct this.

not £25 but £20.60 (linked to pay rises after year 2) and pro rata so its worse than you thought.nando wrote:From how i impret what Royal Mail intend with the door 2 door payments is really cunning!

These are the facts i have been in the job 20 years, they will put shitloads of work on us and no we wont be able to do it so.Plodder99 wrote:we should be against any pay deal that runs for more than a year in priciple. Who knows what government or inflationary pressures will be in force during a 3 year period?
Just as worrying is that these clowns negotiating for us, either truly believe they got us a great deal or are working as double agents for Crozier and Mandy.
1. you cut off
2.you book docket
3.you only have 7hours 50mins, minus 40mins meal relief, minus the time it takes to sort the mail and make no mistake we still get tons of manual in, so they can put tons on us, but you can only do what you can do, the thing that really pisses me off is the slow ones or clever ones, stay on their frames, us grafters do the sorting for them and get s**t on. i play the postman game think of yourself and sod the rest, thats whats its become, i will vote no as i am losing £350 a year.

So its a no, it could`nt be anything else could it. One big fiddle, the union are so for it they must be getting a back hander. The dont care about the workers anymore, if they did they would`nt even expect their members to work till 3pm on a saturday. I cant even take my sons to the football now and the only time i get to see them is a saturday. the union are so up the management arses....................
