Hi because youre working day would be less than 8 hrs you would only be entitled to 30 mins break,Big Daz wrote:Silence wrote:Can part timers do 4 day weeks? How would that work?
I do a 30 hour week, so that would become 4 x 7.5 hour day. The question is why do I do in the extra 90 mins of working day I have just gained?
6 hours 20 mins prep and delivery time
40 min break
30 mins travel and pouch off

Re: whats this about 4 day weeks
How would this be affected if we went down to a 35hr, 5 day week in the agreement? What would the difference be between 35hr GROSS weeks ( lose paid meal reliefs & 1hr 20 duty time a week ) and 35 NET weeks ( keep paid breaks, lose 5 hrs duty time ) - if we do get a shorter working week, I'd still be interested in a 4 day week.
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

I think you have it the wrong way round, mate.smokerjim wrote:How would this be affected if we went down to a 35hr, 5 day week in the agreement? A 35 hour GROSS working week includes still getting paid for meals breaks. It is the 35 hours NET working week that has unpaid meal breaks. So under the 35 hour GROSS working week, you actually work for fewer hours, as all your attendance (working and meal breaks) has to add up to a total of 35 hours.
I'm sure we can still divide whatever working week end up with by 4 to get a 4-day week attendance. What the duty will do depends on what delivery method would be used: RM Car Drived Van (CDV); RM Van; or trolleys are going to have longer delivery spans than bags over the shoulder.

Re: whats this about 4 day weeks
Mea culpa - sorry - but it is a bit confusing...well, we'll have to wait for the agreement coming out to see the details ( I'm on AL this week, and again in 3 weeks time, but the rate it's going I'll be waiting till my next week off in August before it gets out )postworker.org.uk wrote:I think you have it the wrong way round, mate.smokerjim wrote:How would this be affected if we went down to a 35hr, 5 day week in the agreement?
