Off sick and told to go vist DOM

When I'm ill, I stay in bed. No meetings, no answering door, no answering phone. If I'm alone in house, it's not my fault, they'll just have to try ringing later when someone's available to answer. Having said that, it's your responsibility to keep them up to date. I'd ring in sick, then maybe ring next day to let them know if I'm any better. If I'm not, I'll ring maybe every couple of days.

Just had a phone call from my line manager as I have been signed off by my doctor this week,and in my office theres 24 people off sick and we all have to go in to vist the DOM tomorrow morning or have our pay stopped!! As if we are fit enough to get to doctors we are fit enough to get to work!
When I asked if my DOM was more medical trained than my doctor and what the point was of it,I was just told its orders from above.

He can't stop your pay,ignore that,flag it to your rep and area.

Well had my meeting with my Dom and he could not have been nicer. He asked what was best for me etc and is going to do another referal to Atos. As I told him Atos had said they sent a report to him , which he did not have. Also Atos told me they had not included any report from my GP or had not requested a report from my Neurologist on my condition, in their report. He said this needs to be sorted as after six months off I go down to half pay as I already knew. So I await another chat with Atos.

I Broke my arm and leg over 10 years ago,and my old dom phoned with concern of how I was,do I need anything etc.Went sick last year for a week and had a phone call every day,terminating with my wife telling my super sicknote dim to f**k off and dont ever call again.I got some right grief on the Monday from him.Silly thing is we have call diversion on the home phone......do I need to say anymore?
