Thanks, does the bonus reflect the work over the year or just during xmas pressure? Reason I ask is I have been asked to work 35 hours (am on a 25 hour contract at the mo) from 30th Nov over the xmas period.

I think people who masquerade as postmen do not deserve one. Shouldn't you be waiting for your post your so obviously upset about?

I believe it is based on your contracted hours over the xmas pressure period.
If you get a temporary 35 hour contract the bonus will be based on that.
But if your hours are made up by OT or SA you will only get bonus based on your 25 hour contract.

Which is why I'll cut off everyday.

Does the bonus depend on the delivery offices success rates over the year or something to do with time with the company? Hubby's been with Royal Mail for the past two Christmases and never got a bonus. All's he's ever got is the free stamps.

A far as i know its nothing to do with individual offices performance. He should ring the number on the pay slip and query it.

Pro rata I belive £100 for FT for PT divide £100 by 40 hours and mutiply by the number of hours you work.

when i started nearly 20 years agao full timers and part timers got the same bonus £100, yes the figure hasn't changed in at least 20 years, i couldn't care less if i get the bonus or not

Couldnt care less if i get an xmas bonus from ROYAL FAIL.

Thats the least of our problems to worry about at present.

And i hope there is no O/T over xmas as our office will just collaspe and i will laugh my bolloxs off.

Xmas pressure Last year was left to the local reps to negoatiate on as R/M offer was so pityful , it was up here on merseyside
