Two deliveries to our DO from MC today, plus tomorrow's delivery ... difficult choice for DIM DOM as to how much we deliver, if at all

Sorry to say that only one office in the Scottish Borders was out that being Galashiels. most other offices in area went in with just afew staff not turning in.
Wait to they come to rip more hours out and jobs out of there office first person they shout for is union rep.
If they dont come out why should they get help from union.

Was better turn out than last strike where we had few strike breakers.

70% of our office were in today. They delivered shed loads of mailsort.

we work out of Carlisle MC and we had 100% out the day even the PT staff i was well impressed office of 30 and 15 on the pickit line this morning. Bring it on

Management announced in WTL that of the 36 available for work 22 were coming in, today however 3 went in but after few minutes in there came out again 2 that were coming in were convinced otherwise (nicely) in total were 10 people in the office, 2 were always going to they both worked their days off last strike, 5 of the 10 were from other offices.They barely had any mail to prep and all were told they could go home(paid) once delivered. Would have been great obviously for none to be in however the office is small and very compliant on the whole so for this office it was a massive no show, especially given the managment tactic in WTL.

Public support via horn honking on a very busy road office is situated was very encouraging, with the 3 that went in and then came out we had a great day our resolve strengthened for what appears a long fight.

Keep up the good work lads, this is a fight for postal services, postal workers but also a fight for the working class and all Union movements, with the tory's coming in now is the time to be strong.
