I would imagined managemt may extend the normal office hours, but good point anyway.

Work your time, start on time, take your time, and bring back what is'nt done, the whole idea of a strike is to create problems, not to lose a days pay and then work like f**k to clear it up the following day, seemples !

I agree what's the point of strikes if you do double the days after on ot. In 2007 my office had very little backlog as nearly everyone did ot to clear it. No iunderstand people don't want to lose money but it's better to do that now that lose your job at a later date giving the way RM want to play it.

I for one am looking forward to walking into my office at 10 this morning and announcing to my DOM if thy are in or a lino I'm cutting off. I already work till 3pm on sat why should I do longer.
Royal Mail won't break me, though its been fairly close recently!

its my rest day today (sat) and on thurs, the ot list for sat was as long as my.... arm. begging me to work, declined with a smile on my face. in my opinion, it would just undo all the good work we done on the pickets yesterday. let the strikebreakers get on with it the little weasles. anyway, who wants to work on a saturday?

Lincox wrote: we have been told not to weigh our bags now by our DOM as they think we should know what we are doing,(nothing to do with us cutting off due to the time we get out then) this after months of being threatened with councilling if we didnt do it , happening to anyone else as well ??
Same in our office too. and have you noticed how the sliding scale now goes from the first bag 16 kgs to the rest all being 11kgs. anyone know why the scale has changed.

Like Lincox said, how many people have been in the office due to forgettiung or failing to put bag weights down? its a joke. :hmmmm

Our office last time we were on strike the managers came out with if you were o/t before the strike to compleat your delivery you could have o/t but if you did'nt then you could not use o/t
Not sure what ploy theyy are going to use this time as i am on leave but i do know that we have a bigger bunch of :silenced this time as managers this time so they are bound to make new rules up,i have told the lad thats covering my walk to bring it back if he wants,it aint no skin of my nose :Very Happy

I speak as I find, and this time around managers in our office have done nothing to stir things up. Even though there is a backlog, they have been reasonable and fair - which has helped keep the atmosphere from being bitter.

Last time they drafted in managers to deliver all the cut offs but this time they have been happy to pay out workers and not given people grief if they cut off. Not sure how long it will last but for now it's all good.
