In my office there will be a just under 50 % Yes vote but with some not bothering to vote this will turn it into a 70% plus Yes vote :cfo

turn out is just as important.if we have a yes vote,even if it was substantial,would automatically be discredited if turnout less than 50%.im hoping for 68% majority for a yes vote but in my or was my office there are too many arse lickerrs,antagonistic in anti strike talk be it posting newspaper cuttings on union board,etc.and hate to say it they are thinking about next weeks pay packet and not if there is a job next year or for the future.

I know for a fact it was 100% in ours just under a 100 staff we have.

In my office most will probably not bother voting or vote no, it was a no vote in our own independent vote so i don't expect any difference.

I am guessing maybe 85%, looking at our online poll indicates a similar result as well.

forget percentages,understand the enviroment we find ourselves in,over the last 5 years rm have through mtsf introduced a different type of employee , gone are the long serving staunch cwu defenders ,replaced by a part time grade some as low as 1 hour recruits,abused and brainwashed,bribed and cajoled by ruthless rm promises of trust us ,forget the cwu,we will look after you,and guess what,the ballot result will depict this .....despair not,,, remember ,, there is none so blind ,than them that cannot see,,,,we owe it to our new found and in many ways handpicked transferees and new replace,ment recruits,to educate them in the cwu ways,they have in there own vile profit generated way ,laid the foundation for a cwu substancial yes vote for official industrial action,we should not dwell on vote percentages,glorify in the result..the odds are stacked against us,
A BULLYING EMPLOYER,ENCOURAGED BY A RIGHT WING GOVT,WHO HAVE RESISTED OUR DEMANDS FOR ANTI TRADE UNION LAW DISCIMINATION CHANGES,CROZIER AND SENIOR MANAGERS DISTRAUGHT AND HUFFY OVER NOT SECURING PRIVATISATION,

A YES VOTE MATTERS ...BUT IT DOES NOT REDUCE OR DISARM US BY THE PERCENTAGE FRACTION,WHATEVER THE RESULT THE PICTURE WILL BE PAINTED BY CROZIER AND HIS ILK,THAT X AMOUNT DIDNT PARTICIPATE,ETC,,WE HAVE A DIFFERENT EMPLOYEE MAKE UP AND AS A RESULT WE WILL HAVE A HARDER IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TASK CONVINCING THEM TO SUPPORT THE CWU,IN AN INDUSTRIAL BALLOT ,WHEN IN MANY INSTANCES OUR MEMBERS MANY OF WHOM ARE THE VICTIM OF ROYAL MAILS ASSAULT ON TERMS AND CONDITIONS,PARTICIPATE IN THIS BALLOT WITH THERE MIND FIRMLY FOCUSSED ON THERE NEED TO SURVIVE IN A SHRINKING WORKBASE OF TODAYS UK PLC,A MAJORITY HOWEVER SLIM IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN A NO VOTE,FURTHER DEBATE ON THE SIZE OF THE RESULT ONLY SERVES TO DIMINISH THE HARD WORK AND ENDEAVOUR ACCOMPLISHED AGAINST THE ODDS ,,TO PRODUCE A YES VOTE FOR OFFICIAL I/A,FOR THE TIME BEING LET US FOCUS ON EMBRACING A YES VOTE,THE MARGIN ONLY MATTERS TO THOSE WHO TRY TO DERAIL THE YES VOTE SUCCESS :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Unfortunately there are also those that SAY they voted yes but in reality voted no ...... and that I really find hard to understand cos if they are afraid to say they voted no then they know it should of been yes!! If you follow my drift. :crazy:

80% yes from a 70% turnout is realistically the best we can hope for.
for the reasons mentioned by Heston e.g every time a member takes vr they are replaced by a part timer,
but to offset that
a lot of the part timers taken on recently wont vote as their not in the union and many former no voters or abstainers have come over
due to their recent poor treatment re lapsing Georoute etc.

I reckon 60-65% yes from a similar turnout.

Partime staff who are not in the union nor any staff who are not in the union will not get a vote!. So they do not have a say but as this turd :cfo and his minions are preventing all of us in having our say in doing the jobs which we all know so well. It is high time the clowns at the top of royalmail listened to all their staff and not just those who they choose to give a big fat juicy bonus too!. :cfo :cfo :cfo :evil/mad

I'd like to think, that we'll get a big yes vote. But I'm not counting my chickens yet. We expected a major no vote, for the Pay and Modernisation Agreement, back in 2007. But we were wrong. See for yourself: http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... ernisation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Still. Only an hour or so, to go before we find out. PLEASE let it be a yes!
