A couple of weeks back a geezer chased me down the street before I jumped in to my van
"Here you go son have these while your watching the game" he gave me 6 bottles of Millars

Last week a fisherman on my walk gave me 2 trout ,Mrs M gave me some tomatoes from her greenhouse .
I was chatting to one of my customers who is just about to move home I told him that I'm envolved with my villages
civic week & we are just about to start our fund raising efforts .
He asked me what kinda stuff will you be doing for fundraisers ,the usual stuff bingo night ,race night, quiz nights & an auction
at that he ran in to his house & produced an oil painting in a lovely frame .He told me he had bought it years ago from a struggling art student for 50 quid its yours see if you can get some cash for it .....

Great stuff for one minute it crossed my mind it may have been a Jack Vettriano but heyho its not

I've been given chocolate, wine, money - lots of money (Christmas tips). Offers of tea, water, long chats. A waterproof coat when its been raining. Sexy students taking their packets in just their thongs and bras....

They are quite nice, my customers!

I delivered a packet to a customer last week and as I was leaving he said that he knows RM are an easy target but that thinks we do a fantastic job.
I staged a Roger Moore impersonator festival in my local village. There were a lot of eyebrows raised, I can tell you.

When I was delivering the deep snow, pushing my HCT rather than it rolling, I got asked if I wanted a cup of tea by several of my customers. I politely declined as it would've made it more difficult to carry on afterwards. Plus there are no loos!

A lady gave me a Christmas tip (in February) because, she said, "we've had a few postmen delivering our mail over the last few months, but I remember you". Not sure if that's a good thing or not but she gave me a tip anyway! lol

I borrowed a set of pliers off a customer after my car key snapped in the lock and I couldn't get the metal bit out.

And, after having an old man rant at me over the time of the mail arriving (1pm on a busy day, last bag!), his neighbour said to me "Don't worry about that cantankerous old b*st*rd, he complains about everything. I think you do a very good job". Which was nice.

Have had all the usuals. The thank you's (Which do lift you), the xmas tips, bottles of wines & spirits, beers, chocolate, women in negligees (both stunning and otherwise  )
but never had the treating me nice at night. At my age a pulse will do and gender whilst preferable is optional :chuckle

Tell you the baby is yours.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

When they write things on the envelopes when they're RTS... Some of the one's I've seen are crackin!

And then there's the times you deliver things like this... It made me chuckle.

And this... Candy knows how? I bet she does!
