Re: Lets get back to work!!!!!
So...as pressure overtime isn't compulsory, I should in theory be able to work a 25 hr shift? When I mentioned this, I was told that I had my start and finish times and to stick to them, but it just doesn't add up. If I stick to my start and finish times, I do 28 hrs!

Re: Lets get back to work!!!!!
Go through your pay slip every week with a tooth comb. Every payment is itemised with the number of hours where appropriate. Basic pay hours refer to the current week, overtime and SA are paid one week in arrears. Look for items such as "Weekday Scheduled Attendance" and "Weekday Overtime First 10 Hours". If the hours don't add up to what you actually did then something is wrong and you should complain.
A lot of people have problems reconciling their pay because of the range and complexity of payments, so don't feel afraid to ask for help. I once had 15 (fifteen) different itemised payments in a single week.

Have to admit RM payslips are a minefield.
As a PT no-one seems to know what rate you shoudl get for an SA, of overtime.
Some will tell you that you have to work 40 hrs before before getting OT rate, I was even told I wouldn't get the full SA rate as I was PT !!! Even my DOM was vague and unsure, so in the end I called wages, the girls there are really helpful, and patient, so any probs I'd say give them a call.

Not the payslips (which do give all the info you need) so much as the system. I think it's true to say that you could have six people on overtime standing next to each other, each doing the same job, each getting a different rate of pay.Pegman wrote:Have to admit RM payslips are a minefield.

Sorry mate, never heard of it, but no doubt colleagues will oblige. I get a PBS/ICS Supplement which is a relic of pre-way forward days that hasn't yet died.Pegman wrote:Can you tell me what the RRIS supplement is ? (In simple English please) because that one went right over my head![]()

Everything you work up to 40 hours is paid at your basic rate, even SA is paid at normal rate until you hit 40 hours.Pegman wrote:Have to admit RM payslips are a minefield.

RRIS payments were introudcue in 1988 following the dras dispute. They stand for recuitment and rentention supplement. They were paid to areas where it was both differecult to retain and recuit staff.

If I work 28 hrs I get paid 28 hrs. That's 25 + 3 overtime. However, that's *starting and finishing at my normal time.*Ethilfrog wrote:Go through your pay slip every week with a tooth comb. Newpostie, 1420: At least they're paying you for all the hours you work. But overtime is voluntary !
