you say that but i like to look at the pay and modernisation deal like a cliff richard record. no one ever admits to buying his songs but every christmas hes at number one! the same way that the pay and modernisation deal was voted in, but you try n find someone who voted for it.... amazing.

but you cant really blame the people who voted for it can you? the union recomended to the weak minded of us that we accept the improved offer. for all of us who knew better, we ignored the stupidness and voted NO. but unfortunately the sheep did what they do best

The general "i'm all-right jack" attitude of postmen/postwomen, arguably amongst full-time staff, is to blame for the woes.

Refusing to co-operate with any form of modernistation or change, even sensible and important changes and,
Refusing to integrate with Part-time staff, making them part of the staff thus standing together against unfair practices and bullying by Royal Mail.

I don't think so! - Change for changes sake? not to improve but worsen the service so you will not get any co-operation regarding this and RM don't do sensible.

Yeah blame it on us senior blokes why don't you ? Remember we're in the same s**t as you only we've been in it longer. Oh and by the way I've seen you new guys come in and carve up the job . Well smart seeing as how you got 20,30,40 years left. After 35 years I'll take VR for sure - wave you smart arses goodbye and let you rot in the mess you've made for yourselves :evil/mad

To be fair many moons ago you used to make an effort to talk to new people or I did anyway once the initial shyness wore off - nowadays they're here for 2-3 months and gone again. Makes you think, "why bother" anymore.

Believe it or not, there were several people at the time. Who not only voted yes, but also tried to encourage others to do the same. Although they still complain about the consequences, now it's in. :arrrghhh
