 I still can’t believe a union have approved getting rid of 1 in 4 jobs and letting the remaining 3 take the workload. OK I know I have over simplified it but that is the crux of it
Let's be fair the jobs had already gone before DM26, ironically we now have more staff post DM26 than before the changes. Although we've lost so many legacy staff recently it's still a nightmare.

As far as a vote of no confidence even if it succeeded, which it won't, who are the better candidates waiting to replace them?

Still astounded they sat there 3 weeks ago and said all is fine, mostly.

Then again, maybe not.

It’s as if they’ve suddenly realised they have endorsed cutting workers. That’s why they have to go.

Remember everybody - pay your subs so the CWU can get nearly £30 million per year to do very little.
While the shysters at the top get a very nice wage and pension off your backs.

Something I noticed the other day is that I can tell if somone new (less than a year) is on a duty. I'm not talking about whether the frame is permanently rammed, I mean the mess around it. Trays of kill-offs not done, random 1C letters in with the manual for the light side, stuff that clearly went out the day before unendorsed, non-Tracked packets scattered all over including some T24s that have been missed. Any of those, and much less, would have seen you pulled up years ago.

To be clear, I do not blame anyone faced with an impossible workload. Either management don't care or can't afford to drive up the leaving rate engaging anyone over it (poorly, in the manner befitting those bereft of people management skills). I consider it the strongest sign someone isn't going to last as our most senior post-strikes colleagues manage to keep things tidy. Only those that can hack it remain.
The machine stops.
