A few questions for posties already doing dm26.

Today was our first DM26 saturday.

Non drivers stayed in the office. A few rurals had their d2ds thrown in.
1 pod had their d2ds thrown in.

The rest still have the last 2 weeks worth of d2ds under the frame.
No mail was thrown in by the indoor staff.

We've been staying either shared or singleton, no rotating.
The shared are failing hard so we've gone back to an HCT for the high call rate duty then the low rate will do oversized for both and their own stuff.
Management have started to understand what we meant when we said a van won't work in the market place on market day as its closed off to all vehicles.

Today was 1C, tracked across 2 duties.....either 1 person doing the shared or 1 person doing the singleton.
Rurals were doing 1C + tracked over 2 rural duties.

Reading through this thread and this comment about about the van not working in a market place really stands out.

It just shows the level of management in the offices, how s**t they are and how it's a theme that they don't listen to the staff. No management spoke to me prior to DM26 going live. I could have told them that the workload would be too much for what was planned, but no. Now the the workload is too much. f***ing idiots

I think the managers just do as ordered by their managers these days, if they don't they'll probably just get moved on and replaced with a manager who will do as ordered.
