Wow 15.10 on a sat when you was 13.14?.

But if you look at the 5 week shift pattern.
3 weeks you are doing 5 days weeks one of them being a Saturday off, plus the Monday the next week.
2 weeks you are only doing 4 day weeks. One a Tues & Saturday off the other a Fri & Saturday off.

I understand the long and shorts aspect of it, i'm just trying to understand the extreme difference between some days - again, this is before DM26. Does mail/packets come into office 2 hours earlier on a Saturday morning or something?

It’s parcels only on a Saturday compared to Parcels plus mail the other days so probably that

I'm talking current times, as in the OP. Pre DM26, all items etc. 1hr 45 min difference between mid week and Saturday finish times. I've heard of 20-30 minute earlier on Saturdays, but hours?

I’d expect DM to put our finish times to around 17.00
I wish I had the 15.00 finishes that people are complaining about

Two points here :

1 if you start later on either Monday, Tuesday , Thursday , Friday or Saturday then your Wednesday start time then on deployment you can move your start times to that of the Wednesday.

2. The finish times will be dependent on the above and the attendance pattern you choose. For example on the 2 in 5 attendance pattern Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are 8 hour attendances. On Wednesday it is 8 hours 30 attendance and on a Saturday it is 7 hours 40 minutes.

3. All of these will be reviewed under the review with Saturday attendance being reviewed in January 2027.

Martin, we are still waiting for our times being reviewed from 2024.
That didn't materialise and finish time now time pushed close to 5pm for many, including Saturdays.

The first poster has current (pre DM26) finish times of 1.75 hours earlier on a Saturday compared to during the week. I was wondering how that is even possible (fair play!) and someone else replied 'season ticket'. I've no idea how the network can advance so much earlier on a Saturday.

The workload on a Saturday is only first class, parcels and tracked. The maximum attendance for a Saturday is capped at 7 hours 40 minutes.

In terms of start times the Wednesday alignment start time benefits a significant amount of units.

183 units on the review will be able to move at least 15 minutes earlier Monday to Saturday including 116 in Scotland.

All other units can move at least 15 minutes earlier Monday and Saturday as part of the review.

A potentially 15 minutes earlier finish when our finish times are up to 3 hours later than they were just over 2 years ago is a tough sell.
