I don't understand where the f**k the CWU got the name heavy and light from. Looking at the documents each town postie will be doing 8 loops a day. 4 of those will be 2/3 days mail and 4 of those will be tracked and 1st class only. Except of course on Saturday where it will need 1 postie for each 2 walks to do tracked and 1st class only. What exactly is heavy and light? The partnerships? one light postie and one heavy postie?

How do you do the D2Ds?

Sure I read somewhere that it’s 8 hour days most days apart from Wednesday which is slightly longer and Saturday which is slightly less, on a 2 in 5 Saturday pattern. So they are banking on the longer days making it work.

Yeah I quoted it from the 2 in 5 on another thread it's Mon,Tues,Thurs, Fri 8hrs Weds 8hrs30 and Sat 7hrs40.

So Saturday is actually longer for us

Yeah, owing to Saturday being the day they are offering more off than now, it will involve those who are in that day probably working longer than currently due to the workload needing done.
Shorter/job and finish Saturdays if they exist currently won’t going forward in any type of ODM.

It's 4 loops with 2 or 3 days mail and 4 loops just parcels + 1c stuff

Per theory, they'll all be prepped on Saturday and then the hike in callrates will clear them in two warm passes.
