Got the call this morning while at work to arrange another interview, which will be tomorrow.
I asked if there was any point as nothing had changed since the last one (during which we agreed I would work indoors at least until I have seen my specialist again, and as yet I havent seen him).
Was told as it was a new referal it had to be done. Fair enough.
Went straight to acting dom to tell him and to request a copy of my previous report, as I will be documenting everything from now.
"Weve lost it", was the reply.
"Well he(the proper dom) had it as he phoned me the day he recieved it," said I.
"Well we cant find it anywhere, thats why weve requested another report. A copy of the original report should come with the second one," said he.
Anyone get the impression they trying to play me for a fool. I envisage a very frustrating few months ahead.

I would be asking for a full and written explanation of why a confidential report which undoubtedly will have eliments of data protection stemming from it was so carelessly in their words lost. And as a suggestion further pursue the matter via your union rep through the IR Framework if need be. After all a confidential report should surely be kept in a proper secure filing storage system by your DOM or acting DOM.speedy wrote:Im going to ask for one when they call me tomorrow, and Im also thinking about giving the following answer to their questions....

You could also consider writing to, phoning or indeed Emailing the CSR Helpdesk with your grievance or complaint.

With regards to personal information the CSR Helpdesk have the following to say:
Please note that under the Data Protection Act 1998 and business standards we must keep all such information in a secure location.
A secure location would be deemed as a lockable cupboard or safe, an office that people have regular access to would not be classed as such.
Clearly there is no justifiable reason why management have managed to lose your initial report. They do however, act upon any complaints raised and usually Email the relevant DOM or acting DOM with a reference number and something like "It has been brought to our attention that Personal information...". and "If you require any further information or clarification...".
If you go down this route expect to get summoned to the DOM's office so be prepared and as a precautionary measure take your IR Rep in with you.

Personally speaking - I'd rather be at work than stuck in the house watching crap daytime TV plus I feel better whenever I have some sort of routine (even if it's with RM's disaster prone disorganisation).
Maybe if RM concentrated on making their places more enjoyable we'd be less likely to phone in sick whenever we hurt ourselves.

Absolutely Correct - Mads ! - a BRF ( Business Referral Form ) is based on questions from RM which require "desired responses " that RM want to hear - what Managers will say is that there's strict rules on RMAP , H&B etc , what they really mean is everything is dictated from on high and the managers involved are merely subordinates .madelin4 wrote:Umm, sounds like to me they have said they have lost it for a reason, mayb the report does not say what they wanted it to say?? I have known that to happen!! Can you not contact atos helpline and ask them to post one out to you?
Secondly as we know RM managers suddenly become "experts " in OH and this will influence the questions asked , especially with the pressure from on high - as obviously all posties are out to do as little as possible for as much as possible - that's why there's all that playground stuff and mistrust .
ATOS are also paid a lot of money - £500 a time apparently to tell RM what they want to hear - far more than the old directly employed RM OHS staff .
The problem for some ATOS MO's is that they don't want to be cited in a ET for doing RM's bidding nor do their nurses or doctors want to be reported to the General Medical Council or the Nurses Council - which some CWU members have done .
In the NHS Doctors and Nurses pay indemnity insurance and union subs for that very reason .
Two contradicting reports will make matters look very "interesting " and would paint RM in a poor light at a future date .
Also people have to be careful that RM don't play the negligence card to get themselves out of the corner they backed themselves into - RM will then play the " not taking the job seriously enough " card or " not showing committment " . It's arrogant but no surprise .

Thanks for all the words of wisdom guys. Keep it coming, you can never have too much advice in my eyes.
Believe it or not, Ive had ANOTHER call from ATOS tonight, wanting to make an appointment with me for thursday.
Told him Ive already had a call today and arranged an appointment for tomorrow, which totally bewildered him.
Looks like its a case of one hand not knowing.............

ATOS reports are sent via email (in my case they were sent moments after I left a consultation). Unless the email is deleted from Lotus on the DOM's PC it will be there. Once again, in my case I have not seen a written report sent to the DOM - AFAIAA its all electronic."Weve lost it", was the reply.
"Well he(the proper dom) had it as he phoned me the day he recieved it," said I.
"Well we cant find it anywhere, thats why weve requested another report. A copy of the original report should come with the second one," said he.
