Re: Bad reviews on PDA
I think if they actually make a complaint then the manager will tell you the address and ask what happened. But this feedback on the pda seems to be taken less seriously. I'll ask my manager and see if they share the address details with me. They might indeed tell me. I'm only going by what the other poster said about not being told who left the bad feedback

Re: Bad reviews on PDA
I’ve had two recent bad scores, a nought and a four, I haven’t bothered to ask management and they haven’t seen me about them. I can’t see where I’d have received these, I’m on an established duty but as I don’t give a damn, I won’t be finding out. Got a ten the other day, so what? I do the job to the best of my ability, I don’t give a fcuk about what the general public think. We get nothing extra for it and very little gratitude.

I got a 1/10 because I wouldn’t leave a signed for tracked in the green bin as requested by a note on their door ffs.

Re: Bad reviews on PDA
Customers reviews on the PDA are an unreliable tool if we are scored for things we can't really control like delays, damaged parcels or refusing unsafe instructions which go against RM's own policy. If they were real complaints then you would be called in but the fact they often aren't treated as such makes them about as useful as fart in a spacesuit.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Unless the manager calls me in I don't bother asking as you're only bringing to management's attention a customer has given you a low score.Jonathan Alsatian wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 19:22I think if they actually make a complaint then the manager will tell you the address and ask what happened. Re: Bad reviews on PDA
During one of my last weeks at Royal Mail, I had the following come up on the PDA:
‘Do not knock, just open the door to the porch and leave in there.’
I didn’t knock, simply opened the door to the porch, and left it in there.
The next day I got a bad review ‘Didn’t knock even though we were in.’
‘Do not knock, just open the door to the porch and leave in there.’
I didn’t knock, simply opened the door to the porch, and left it in there.
The next day I got a bad review ‘Didn’t knock even though we were in.’
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

PDA on the screen where you see your driving,1st time delivery, scan in/out etc and all that bollox data, at the bottom you'll see 2 options - customer view is where you'll find these scores, the other one is where you read comments from your manager.

There is a thankyou postie thing, but Royal Mail is down at the mo as is parcelforce lol.geordieboy123 wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 17:34How do you leave a review about your postie? I’ve never been asked to review my postie, my manager says companies like M&S or John Lewis normally ask the customer once they’ve been notified that the parcel has been delivered.Mesque1899 wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 16:58I got a 3 out of 10 for, wait for it, wait for it........playing my music too loud when on delivery lol, so dnt fret pal its prob something simple, maybe u didnt close a gate r push the letters all way through letter box.geordieboy123 wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 16:24I noticed on my PDA today that I’ve had 2 1/10 reviews so I asked my manager for details as the pda told me to do but I was told “don’t worry about it “ well I bloody well am as it’s inconceivable that I would have provided a bad service. When I pushed it with the manager he said “I can give the reasons but not details of the customers who made the complaint” is this correct? I’m in a position where both the company and CWU want me out so could there be some skullduggery going on?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Bad reviews on PDA
No idea why ,but somehow I got eight 10/10 customer reviews recently
Not one manager came to say well done or keep it up or even explain the reasoning behind each positive review.
Then one day ....my line manager came up to me and told me (with almost a smile) I'd got a 2/10 !!!
Took me into the office and went through the poor review.. only to find out that the low review score was because of a redelivery item that should have gone out the day before (my day off),but didn't
so had absolutely nothing to do with me!
No apology from the manager....just an, "oh dear "!
Pathetic

It’s not worth bothering about, they can’t conduct you anyway. The company is a joke. I’ve noticed my driving scores have disappeared recently, probably to see if you start driving recklessly , then call you in for a ‘chat’.postypie wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025, 18:20No idea why ,but somehow I got eight 10/10 customer reviews recently![]()

Yes pal and I was somewhat taken aback a bit as they've always been so nice and appreciative towards me before.geordieboy123 wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025, 18:46When you went through the poor review was the customer address given?postypie wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025, 18:20No idea why ,but somehow I got eight 10/10 customer reviews recently![]()

Re: Bad reviews on PDA
This system of feedback is so poor, the feedback is on the service as a whole you only play a tiny part in it . I have had two zero complaints both of which has been the customers fault for picking any alternative delivery address one a post office collection rather then delivery to there home , so gave zero out of ten because they stayed in all day waiting for the item
The other was delivered to marks and Spencer store which they actually picked for free delivery but thought they had asked for it to go to their home .
I no longer bother look you can’t reply to them either way so unless it a formal complaint there’s absolutely nothing you can do.
