Ah yes, you were once trolling people on here saying you were being paid more than a legacy contract as a new start, yet not working in the London weighting areas.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025, 17:47Go away, RubberCzech, you’re boring — not to mention irrelevant. There's also 1C PPI as well.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025, 17:23And I would totally agree. Re: 1st class mail
For anyone reading this thread anew who just wants the bare details about the new-entrant wage in a high-cost area — as a postie working in a high cost area, the new hourly rate from 1 April 2025 becomes £15.49. The overtime rate accordingly increases from £18.58 per hour to £19.36.SkiSunday wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025, 19:45Ah yes, you were once trolling people on here saying you were being paid more than a legacy contract as a new start, yet not working in the London weighting areas.

Now allow me to address your silly comments.
The only troll on here is yourself:
(1) You aren’t even an employee of the business. You have clearly been outwith RMG’s employment for at least a year, if not more.
(2) You have, or have had, at least five different usernames on this site. Worse than that, you have contributed to at least one thread on this forum simultaneously using two usernames thereby attempting to “bolster” whatever whimsical assertion you were then contending for but without disclosing those two ‘users’ were in fact one and the same person, ie, both you! You have deliberately sought to mislead and obfuscate.
(3) You have sought to bully users, both myself and others. I have reported several of your abusive and/or offensive posts to the mods.
You are the troll, my old chum.
Conversely, I have set out — on more than one occasion — a breakdown of my salary in detailed form, and I can even recall posting a screenshot of my payslip on this very forum a year or so back by way of corroboration of same.
Tell you what, CarryingMgmnt, SkiSunday, BouncedCzech, LondonsBurning, et al — post your own payslip, suitably redacted, so as to verify you are a current employee of the business, and I will — just for you — rerun those detailed calculations for you.

So answer the question, how are you still receiving the London Allowance when you said that you no longer work in London?Smoothbackground wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 09:12For anyone reading this thread anew who just wants the bare details about the new-entrant wage in a high-cost area — as a postie working in a high cost area, the new hourly rate from 1 April 2025 becomes £15.49. Re: 1st class mail
It's virtually impossible to deliver all the 1c, apart from stamped, plus all the Tracked and 1c parcels on two rounds without go over, unless another postie is scanning everything on one duty and sorting them into delivery order, whilst the other postie is delivering everything on the other duty.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 01:01There's also 1C PPI as well.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025, 17:23And I would totally agree. Re: 1st class mail
I never worked in London as an RMG employee (I was always casual in London). As such I have never received a “London Allowance”.
My hourly rate is the same paid to all new entrants where I am. We’re not in London nor anywhere close enough to receive London Weighting. I can’t answer beyond that. I would suggest that you direct your query to the business if you want a more scientific response than that which I am able to give.

Re: 1st class mail
Part of the ODM process is changing the way we think about our work. Every day everything that is due delivery that day will be required to be taken out. That may well include items that have been delayed whilst in the system. So yes items that may not have been due delivery will become an item due delivery. The CWU knows full well that the classification of work has changed. Ask anyone working in an experimental workplace. Regardless of what Boulch says even under his heavy and light method, if it is ever a method, everything due delivery that day would be required to be taken out.
