Sure, it’s a vote on pay, but every “unconditional” deal at RM comes with strings later and workload cuts are always waiting in the wings. The truth is RM have already squeezed the low-hanging fruit; there’s nothing left to cut without completely wrecking deliveries. That means only one thing: heavier walks, more pressure, and flexibility forced in through the back door. Anyone thinking that start and finish times will protect them are in for a rude awakening because the business will grind that out of people one way or another.

If 20% is scaremongering, 3 people doing the work of 4 is a reduction of 25% of the labour, it’s rurals that stop it from being 25% reduction in labour
