Re: CWU anyone out there ?
Something has to change within the CWU as this has become normalised over the past few years, despite the company being in new hands now.
To announce a groundbreaking deal 6 months ago with EP group and still have no pay increase isn't acceptable for the majority of staff.

You're absolutely correct. We are held to ransom by this current leadership under the guise its a democracy. It is not. Not in the real sense. It's self serving boys club who essentially all vote for one another to hold position. Any criticism is batted away or falls on deaf ears. The reality is they are not doing a very good job.Perseus wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025, 16:04Something has to change within the CWU as this has become normalised over the past few years, despite the company being in new hands now.

Pay increase is of paramount importance. It should have been done within days of the takeover. Anything else like VR's, levelling up contracts, section 5 stuff needs to be self funding and understandably takes time, but pay comes first.Ren Hoëk wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025, 16:10You're absolutely correct. Here is what they are negotiating over:
1. A pay agreement.
2. Equalising New entrants' Pay, terms and conditions over an agreed period with the first step occurring within three months of the transaction.
3. A new career path.
4. A plan to reduce agency.
5. Addressing overtime and scheduled attendance rates.
6. Improving sick pay arrangements.
7. Reaching an improved voluntary redundancy package.
8. Agree on a new incentive scheme based on local/plant measures.
9. Introducing pilots on new ways of working, including mechanisms to allow postal workers to have more say over day-to-day operations and workload management. This will include, but is not limited to, piloting a more supportive way of utilising the “my performance app” application and any data.
2 dates given where they hoped to reach a deal, 14 May, 5th June. Both passed.
It's not on.
