It is a pathetic attempt at teambuilding.
But given the overexcitement at 8.30am every day of the children in my DO it is clearly working.

I don’t understand it. Easily bought.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑19 Dec 2024, 06:18It is a pathetic attempt at teambuilding.

I want the alarm clockHTPostman wrote: ↑19 Dec 2024, 09:06There’s been a few prizes here:
*An Alexa that only says ‘if anything, dispatch times will become later.’
*A packet of Dave Ward’s favourite biscuits (chocolate hobnobs).
*A ‘Where’s Walshy’ puzzle book. You’re best waiting 10 months between puzzles.
*An alarm clock, that wakes you up with ‘please apply the handbrake before leaving the bed.’
*Sudoku, but based on your latest payslip.
*A new postal bag. Made 0.5cm too small though so you can’t hook it on your LWT.
*A half and half EP Group/CWU scarf.
*An ‘I luv RM’ Christmas jumper, with the ‘Luv’ part made out of genuine gold. Ideal for those (new contract) posties earning £1000 a week.
*A ticket to the D2D payment panto; ‘it’s a payment for delivering door 2 doors…..oh no it isn’t……oh yes it is.’
In ours every day has a designated prize and each day there’s a draw of names who winsnorris9 wrote: ↑19 Dec 2024, 15:10I don't see much wrong with the idea itself as long as you do it fairly, even if it is mostly tat you can win....
I have no idea how our office is deciding who gets a prize on said day, but I am pretty sure it's not being done in a fair way....
Which kinda defeats the whole point in the 'team building exercise' as you alienate certain staff.

I assume you gave the kiss of life to a Labrador that you rescued from a canal and then returned it to its grateful owner by foot, dripping wet, but still managed to deliver her Christmas cards to her, all nice and dry? Anything less and it’s a fix.
Or give us all an achievable bonus?kazardaimenu wrote: ↑19 Dec 2024, 17:55They could just raise the overtime rate during December but that would cost them way more than a few plastic cups.
Am touched that you thought of me in your prize-giving. You’re a real sweetheart xxxHTPostman wrote: ↑19 Dec 2024, 09:06There’s been a few prizes here:
