i always vote in local elections, national elections,union issues anything that involves the job for the simple reason that if i dont vote and something is voted in i dont like then i only have myself to blame.
last year some people beside us did'nt vote in the strike issues and when we lost the vote and all the present crap we are getting now was implemented they were the first to complain yet could'nt be bothered putting an x on a bit paper.

IS BROWN OUT? AND RED IN?
Im definetly voting Green even though they have a massive uphill task to get a MP in my area. We have had conservative MP's since the begining of time the most notable being John Major. Even the annihalation of 97 failed to topple John Major as MP. The latest Conservative MP is frontbench and will be a government minster if they win the next election.
In Norwich South and Brighton Pavillion they have a very real chance of getting MP's. In Norwich South in particular across the area in the local elections for the last few years they have polled more votes than Labour and if repeated at the general election will see Charles Clark lose the seat to the Green Party! Imagine a big name like Charles Clark losing his seat to the Green Party!!!!
People need to get over their obsession with the big three parties and start looking at the smaller parties.
A vote for the smaller parties is not a wasted vote, if collectiveley the smaller parties can put a big dent into the combined vote of the big three it might make them sit up and take notice that their dreary incompetent way of doing things is not wanted. It might turn what seems to be a Conservative win at the next election into a hung parliment where the parties will have to co operate and be willing to listen to and act upon/accomdate differing opinions.
Lets have PR and see how many seats the big two have if based purley on the % of the votes cast in the next GE. That would shake them up a bit. Unfortunatley Labour and Conservatives want to keep their cosy little stitch up and continue to pass the baton between each other for all enternity.
