The main problem with replacing full time staff with part time is that they then expect the part time staff to work the extra hours on overtime. So what is going to happen when they start lapsing walks and the overtime disappears (RM's stated intention)? No one is happy about it, Full Timers are rightly angry at these duties being replaced by part time ones as the indoor duties still have to be done, but with less staff, Full timers are being offered less overtime as it is cheaper for RM to use Part timers as they don't need to pay overtime rate for the first 10 hours. Part timers are angry as they have to struggle to make ends meet, struggle with impossible deliveries and basically get treated like s*** by RM. The only winners are RM.

I do apologise profusely for using the words 'winner' and 'RM' in the same sentence.

If only we all just worked our time, regardless of the extra pressure put on us, we'd be fine. Trouble is some can't help but rush when under pressure, which only serves to prove RM right and saves them money. Sick leave, however, has never been worse..

I was never off work before I went to romec, even working up to 90s hours a week at someplaces, until I went to work for romec, at last a regular 40 hours week wage, but got lied to so many times by managers, even had to leave uni because of romec. Both me and my dad ended up being shafted and made redundant by romec, even had to threatern a manager before he paid me my full last week. 6months later got phone up to come back to romec and transfered to RM. In retro I should have realised what the managements are like with rm.
Saying that one year RM did pay me 14hours a night to clean the outstation during xmas pressure even tho the managers would only let me on the floor for a few hours at a time and thes only so many times you can clean the toilets in a night, best shint of nights i ever did, even had a cat nap. sigh Ah well

*****DISCLAIMER***** To all you managers out their, the threat was to take him to a tribunial, which I was well in my legal right to do. Just in case you try to pull me about it tomorrow.
