A newbie question

Sorry but i still don't know what endorse means. Do you mean you write on the packet?

I put recordeds and packets that don't fit (and customer was out) into pouch and drop it off. I did put a special in once (didn't know any different) but was told not to do it again.

If I have an undelivered special, I take it back to the DO. When the post office signs for a special, do you mean on the card that the customer would sign (if they'd been in)?

Sorry but training is non-existant, I have to find things out by trial and error!

Yes NewPostieUK write on the packet - for example - N/A F/L 10/04/08 GG 105

When the post office signs for a special they will sign on the card where that customer should sign but you must also endorse the card - N/A F/L

Like mine would be F/L TBT 10/04 SE23 which is why not delivered - my initials - date - duty

Thats whats called pouching off.

Yes that happens a lot nowadays its the sink or swim process that RM use. However if unsure ask your work mates or pop on here.

OK, thanks for that. I'll start 'endorsing' the packets tomorrow. You'd think someone would have said something though wouldn't you?

pouched 1 special off today in the local P/O although my L/M has infored me that our D/O dont have blue pouch off bags i was just told to sign them in loose.

If no one minds me asking, how much would a coach get for training a new comer for a week? is it a mass difference in their wages. cause the guy i have/had is surly taking the RM for a ride, i want to say something to someone higher up but with being new i just wanna keep my head down and get on with it.

Still enjoying it all even in the rain

I was a coach for 6months and got nada zip zilch for it. just been told that they don't want a 6hours a day trainer as a full time is better, to which I replied what the heck you think i have been doing for 6months? Coaches I think get 30pounds a week extra, hence why i wanted it

Coaches actually get Â£18 a week extra, great in a small office with low staff turnover. The coach in our office has only had to coach one newbie in the last 18 months & still gets paid.
He'll have his work cut out soon, 2 vacancies have just been advertised (its only taken them 8 months to get around to doing it) & 2 more are leaving in the next few weeks ( so he will be busy in another 8 months time) & at least 3 more actively seeking work elsewhere.

I know a coach should show the basics and i understand the the best way is too ask about everything, its not really the coaches fault, im one of the new 25hr flexi and im to start at 9:00 at by this time the coach has cleared his rack and gone by 8:30 to for me to bug him rather than my L/M is impossible.
