It's not bonus related. It's just that Tracked items are flagged as failures in a way that anyone with access in Royal Mail can see if they want. This obviously includes area managers (or whatever they're called now, and above. So it's an easy way for them to 'monitor performance'. And so the floor managers obviously want that not to happen.
It's not right, but it's understandable. And it goes all the way up the chain. So the reason the area managers are all over it is because they're scared their boos might be too.

There's probably also the issue that the customer knows the Tracked & Special items have been delayed by RM but hasn't a clue who's delayed the non Tracked, and can also claim compensation if they are delayed for any length of time.DGH wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022, 18:28It's not bonus related. The higher ups will be able to see the last office they passed through and so can give a bollocking to the relevant office where as other stuff, there's no way to know what office it's at until delivery is attempted by a DOTopperGas wrote: ↑03 Jul 2022, 08:19There's probably also the issue that the customer knows the Tracked & Special items have been delayed by RM but hasn't a clue who's delayed the non Tracked, and can also claim compensation if they are delayed for any length of time.DGH wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022, 18:28It's not bonus related. I sense it's far more than just a bollocking managers are worried about!
