We've not got the staff as it is, we'd probably end up short enough on staff that all mech would have to revert to walk sort at best as the mech staff would then be needed on packets and Tracked
If I had a £1 for every time you have posted this :arrrghhh

They have said what they want, it’s upto your manager how that’s achieved.

If we are forced to work Sundays we'll have to be given another day off through the week. Royal Mail will have to employ more staff, it'll cost a fortune in the long run.
You know what they will do?, collapse walks so they dont need as many posties in the week, then use those hours that used to take the collapsed walk out for sunday
Sunday delivery is only pkts, not mail.

SDs, Tracked and packets have got higher priority than mech letters, manual letters and flats, so it's highly likely that they'd sacrifice mech letters, manual letters and flats to get the SDs, Tracked and packets done. We often don't get to TPM the machines after wave 1 as we're often moved onto other sections the moment that we've finished boxing up the final batch of wave 1

But your missing an important fact. RM will shortly be opening one of the biggest parcel hubs in Europe. Mail Centres won’t have anywhere near the workload they have now in afew months.

The machines at the new hubs don't have anywhere near the number of selections available for one output per DO so we're still going to have to sort it in MCs. On the PDAs in "MC Mode" there's streams been added for containers from hubs, which suggests that we'll still be scanning the stuff from the hubs. Depending on relative locations, some areas might get their stuff in later, so will have to have final dispatched pushed back.

At the moment it's (where not intra)

Outward MC > RDC > RDC > Inward MC > DO
Outward MC > RDC > Inward MC > DO
Outward MC > Inward MC > DO (where the areas covered by the outward and inward MCs are next to each other

Once the hubs are online it's probably going to be:

Outward MC > RDC > Hub > RDC > Inward MC > DO
Outward MC > RDC > Hub > Inward MC > DO
Outward MC > Hub > Inward MC > DO

The extra travel time to and from the hubs and the time needed to sort in the hubs needs to be factored in

The Hubs have enough Selections for the Proposed Number Of LAT Delivery Offices

Unless all the LAT offices have got their own 600s then they're going to probably have to send all their vans to collect the stuff that's come in from the hubs. If it's going to LAT offices, why have we got a stream on the PDAs (called something like containers from hub) for scanning it? Nothing gets scanned out to a box/sleeve/york

Well it might as well go out with the normal Tracked the next day. Our final dispatch is 06:30, once the drivers arrive back, they're finished and go home. The LAT offices send their own vans. If the Hubs are going to be taking all the large Tracked and large normal packets then the LAT hubs will physically need to send all their vans, even the quietest will need to send at least a dozen vans

You seem to forget SP, if all the delivery offices do move to a 10am start then lat wont exsist anymore and it will also change the times the mc staff are required.

The axing of Skynet has yet to be confirmed. Even when Skynet does get axed it'd probably take a while to implement as RM would have to serve however much noticed to the various companies they hire the planes from

Don't say that.....apparently MC can't change....or can they...?
