Half of the grammar of that update didn't make sense, so I didn't bother reading to the end.
It's auto generated from video audio to text i think. But not reading it you're not missing out on much. Terry merely says there's a problem and we need to get to the bottom of it by speaking to reps.
I gave up too - really TL;DR if that was the extent of what was being communicated. Maybe he felt the need to drag it out so we feel we've got our subs worth.

The quality of service has been destroyed by the revisions.

But the Union can't admit it, or do anything about it, because they were 100% supportive of the revisions.

Complete clusterfuck. RM is finished as a brand.

Simon is pushing this on Workplace...
Discover fact from fiction - work together to turn it all around - push locally - we deserve far greater publicity.....
And, it's the text of a video, why would you not want to read it?
You can't ask for updates then slag off said update due to grammar, imaging what some of you would read like if some of your conversations were put into text.

Anyway, I do the text as some of you are s**t lazy at watching videos. :d'oh!

Anyway again, fb1969 has posted the ticktok (yes - The CWU are on ticktok) video! Enjoy Tel's dulcet tones.

Only about 12 months late to the party. Well done Terry, ready to spring into life for the problems that have persisted for the last year, just as we're entering the post-pandemic stage.

Well, the next problem is going to be... volumes are going to drop, and it'll be cuts to terms and conditions back on the agenda (hint, they're coming after sick pay), there will be no money spare for a pay deal. And you'll just be happy to ensure there are no compulsory redundancies.

But rest assured by spring 2023, you'll catch up to being outplayed on that one...

It's not a conversation, though. It's supposed to be a clear and concise statement about the union's intent in the current situation we find ourselves. You get on camera, deliver your message, and get out. Instead it comes across as aimless rambling, which I cynically fear presages the big fat nothing that will come of it.

"We made an absolute decision that we're going to mobilise our divisions and our area reps, our local reps, and our branches to get on top of this issue, discover fact from fiction, actually find out the officers that are in bad trouble, and come up with solutions to resolve them."

I thought this was their job all of the time. How is he not embarrassed to not already know which offices are in trouble. He better get a list of offices in their area out to the div reps. I doubt they could find them on a map. Never saw one in 13.5 years.

The video doesn't make it much better. Terry's video presence always comes across as a rant directed at the viewers which is usually the members, when he should be directing it at the company.

I am making no personal comment but have you noticed that since this was posted the list of Offices at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=100690&p=967286#p967286 has been shrinking quite dramatically.

The look isn't good.

Too little too late.

or

Just decided to get involved when the issue was resolved

or

Not fully informed of the situation before, or now.

Not sure which option is the worst.

Trouble is if you have not been actually doing the job for the past 18 months then you have NO IDEA, none. :d'oh!

Yes you can walk around offices and stop and talk to folk working but try struggling with a 5 hour plus delivery and still leaving a york of non tracked parcels behind.

I feel unless drastic action is taken by the CWU it may be too little too late.

This is spot on.

Too much being brushed under the carpet, too many figures 'fudged', failures not reported and too many heads in the sand.

The top brass in the Union and RM don't have a clue. Everything is hidden and sugar-coated on their odd excursion to a DO.

Nothing is going to change, it's just going to get worse until we all say f**k this for a lark and RM will flood the place with agency and even more part time workers with further eroded terms and conditions.
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.
