We'll do a full review of peak planning, planning, and execution early next month so that we can learn lessons for next year and ensure that you all have the tools you need for the job.

And How Long have been delivering mail at Christmas? Which convieniently falls on the same Date EVERY YEAR! :d'oh! Everytime a Politician makes a cock up the trot out the old saying, "Lessons were learnt". Seems like Simon's taken a leaf out of their book. :hmmmm

We will continue to innovate in the services we offer for our customers, we've got some exciting announcements already planned for early in the new year and will continue to invest in the business, in particular, I look forward to seeing everyone in new uniforms, you won't be able to miss our bright red color on the streets in twenty twenty-two.

Yep that's what was really causing us BIG problems over the last 2 years ... We didn't have a Nice RED Uniform FFS, this is just so farcical! :speak to the hand

We'll continue to electrify our fleet to pace and increase our use of rail as well, which will mean we can remain the leader on environmental delivery and will continue to win new customers.

Obviously something we're all really worried about.
So that's what Simon managed to get out of this Festive Clusterfuck we call Christmas? :cuppa

You're all missing the point here.

This is deliberate, Royal Mail top w*****s have hidden behind COVID in order not to spend on extra staff so that there is a boost to profit for shareholders and that's it.

ST knows exactly what he's doing, don't be fooled by the smiling assassin!

No need for a review of anything - you, the higher level management f****d it up. You scammed the public into using a postal service under false pretenses, your office lied to the press about "every letter being important", you failed to notice any requirement for extra vans and refused to accept that any extra staff would be needed. You took on Government contracts to deliver Covid tests alongside an already failed post service. You insulted most staff with comments about sickness levels being worse than "during the pandemic" just before a new wave struck. You insulted everyone who suffers from mental health issues with comments about "phoning a helpline". But as far as you can see, profits are up so it was a success - any other industry would be giving full refunds for failing to deliver the product/service that was bought. The only good thing you have done is expose Terry Bullshitter as a fool for going along with everything.

Our office is never clear, mail builds up day after day and we're told to just take tracked. They fail now as we have so many and not enough time to do them. Add to this constant bullying from Management, morale is shot

A whole year in charge with your union lapdogs and done more damage to public trust than 500 years of the business. A knighthood on the way.

we're a hundred percent optimized for letters and have perfected this process using frames over many, many years

So why is that only about 50% (max) of what we put into the frames is actually sorted to the frame ?

2nd mech is only walk sorted. add in the random letters , Go Outdoors and all the other leaflets, magazines,mail-shots buddy boxes etc etc.

This guy needs to spend a week prepping ( with 3-5 households) to see how much indoor work there is.

so we failed christmas due to failed revisions but yet no mention of the s**t this had caused in offices at the busyiest time of the year , so who is to blame for that ? , so are we starting the year as we mean to go on :arrrghhh ? full deliverys failing due to no staff ( not covid either ), standard parcels and pkts being stood down just to concentrate on tracked items , and this bloke thinks everything is rosy

Simon can you tell us why this so called revisions were sneaked in so quickly ? Who were responsible for the disaster that is now left , doms ? Union ? Or above ? Not one of the staff were listened to when we warned them pre revision about the plans for certain duties . Why were we ignored ? We still have frames and frames of customers mail piled up in frames not going out .

Don't worry too much about next Xmas Mr Thompson, I don't think you will be still on charge by then if things continue as they are.

The question is: how long can the sham continue before the penny drops and the shareholders realise they've invested in a Potemkin delivery company? Sub-question: will Simon 'It's Peak? I haven't missed it. The spirits did it all in one night.' Thompson have jumped out of our nose-diving plane with his golden parachute before then?
The machine stops.
