It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I thank you for your welcome !
I try to use the links for traduce your post, so I cant understand them .

In France, We are (La Poste) the most important society of post, there are some little enterprise whitch are concurrent for parcel like UPS TNT ... whe 'd a concurrent for letters (Adrexo) and they stop carry letters because they dont earn so much money :) .
How much society of post are there in UK ?

In France, it's the same situation like in UK : they close post offices , they dont recruit, they want us to be more productive . In order to earn more and more money, they intall a lot of machines, so we have deliveries ever longer.
they install too news "casiers" like this
Image
I 'd heard that you had those "casiers" in Great Britain . I want your coments about this , Royal Mail 'd reduce the number of deliveries whit this news casiers ? Have you pain in your arm besause of it ?
Whe are a little "anxious" about this new material ... :/

You put that pretty good Turbine - well done - By "tours" do you mean the area of delivery that you do and "casiers" are the sorting frames that you use to prepare your delivery?

Your business and it's people seem to be facing many of the same problems as we do and we are very pleased to have you on this forum with us.

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

How taking place a day's work in Royal Mail ??

In France it's like that :

6 to 7 am: sorting General (mail sent to a city is divided into different sectors)
7:10 = 7h-empty boxes
7:10-8:20: sorting by districts
8:20-8:30 am: making wads with letters, and loading vehicles
8:30-8:50: reshipments - Waste (referring couriers)
8:50-9am: taking care of special items (recommended, etc ...)
9am-9:20: possibly break (bcp factors does not take)
9:20-12:45: delivery
12h45-13h: Rédition accounts (Recommended ...) + possibly resuming letters reduced (possibly pickup sort of pub for the next day).

13 h: End of service.

If tecnical words are not good please tell me those are not corrects .

For those unfamiliar with French rural deliveries or how mail is sorted, well worth hunting down 'Jour De Fete' - Jacques Tati
