On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Re: Redundancy
All I’m saying is I’m on a 5 hour contract, and if I only want to do 5 hours, then I just get paid 5 hours and am given a round to be done in 5 hours even if it means being handed van keys and a tied up round as I enter the office doors.
RM don’t currently pay people on FT hours a lower hourly rate when they come back 90 minutes early on a Saturday. So it should be no different to those PT only wanting to do their hours being given a workload to match.
In my section alone there’s 46 rounds. There’s approximately 55 staff doing those rounds, of those 55 staff 14 are PT. But there’s only 1 round that can be done in 5 hours. It’s a farce and RM know it.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: Redundancy
This has been the case at my Mail Centre for the 10 years I've been there nothing to do with Lockdown. Agency staff now get to decide which jobs they do and Royal Mail Staff fill the jobs they don't wantpostslippete wrote: ↑14 Jun 2021, 19:50Royal Mail have been running a two-tier workforce for months
