Re: Office resign
I'm hoping in ours they make every full time have a part time assigned with it.
At the moment there are quite a few with 2 full time who are out the door before I even start, winds me the f££k up.
I ask a gaffer why cant one of them put my last tray in and do redirections or something before he pulls his walk out, and he looks at me blank, like, what for??!

Re: Office resign
Different offices implement revisions in different ways..
You can build the indoor and outdoor separately and offer up a resign on the outdoor element only then build in the indoor element afterwards but you still have to be aware that you will probably need full-time reserves as well as part-time reserves in order to have sufficient cover for the indoor element when full-timers are off so at some point down the resign you still might have to set aside seniority and move on to part-timers.

The local union guy is all for it..his duty not affected,,,doesn't help matters that the guys a fkn pushover...i will be pursuing itgone postal wrote: ↑08 Jun 2021, 16:31What does your rep say? They should have been involved from day 1! The office has a right to vote on the proposed revision and whether to have a re-sign. If this hasn’t been done, get in touch with your branch. The whole point of the new agreement is that members get a meaningful say in the changes. Don’t take no for an answer!

Re: Office resign
I've never understood its a f/t vs p/t walk as all our walks are exactly 4hr 30min in theory. In our office its the indoor work that makes them f/t. So everyone picks based on seniority - oldest to youngest (in length of time served). The f/t come in at 7am to do the prep etc, the p/t come in at 9am to tie down. In my opinion this is the way it should be everywhere.stranglerscolin wrote: ↑08 Jun 2021, 12:32Looking for advice or download link on correct procedures for office resign ..we are undergoing a table top revision and im suspicious of the resign thats tsking place
..seems to be two lists ,one for F/T and another for P/T,,a lot of senior F/T posties getting displaced by P/T ...i always thought it was based on seniority from top to bottom..any advice would be appreciated.✌
I understand other offices have different structures but if all duties have an equal outdoor delivery span then any duty can be selected by any person. f/t still comes in at 7am, 30hr p/t still comes in at 8am, 25hr p/t still comes in at 9am etc.

Re: Office resign
Exactly what I'm saying, all duties or walks are the same it's just ips and prep that's different, so no duty or walk is classed as either full or part time.2yearpostie wrote: ↑08 Jun 2021, 16:30ft duty, total 7 hours, 5 hrs outdoor, 2 hrs ips /prepfrankieboy wrote: ↑08 Jun 2021, 16:08What's the difference between a full time and a part time walk? It will depend on how the revision is applied in your office.
These are local agreements subject to a local vote, the framework on revision planning allows for a mix of duty designs and patterns. Seniority only applies inside that agreed framework it doesn't overrule it.
Asking on here for a definitive answer is pointless because there isn't one.

Has anyone seen a copy of the framework? we were promised innovative duty structures and a mix of duty designs but nothing like that in our proposals, same old rolling days offs and overloaded deliveries

Never knew that ive been moved of duties i liked that were not changed if id known i would have opted out stayed put. As far as i can tell if senior people want your duty they take it on a resign carve it up get more work put on it rinse repeat.gone postal wrote: ↑08 Jun 2021, 15:20The Way Forward Agreement still holds the field

Section 16 is the part you need
Also worth remembering that if there is no material change to a duty, then that duty holder can opt out of the office resign!
Changes due to the 1 hour reduction in the working week aren’t material!

Re: Office resign
Hi I'd like to know more on this what do you mean by material change. As I'd be signing for my own duty again and I opt out does that mean they can't change it on there end ( no one will work with my partner so I should end up with it again). Also is there a notice period to opting out? I have many questions and so little time.gone postal wrote: ↑08 Jun 2021, 15:20The Way Forward Agreement still holds the field

Changing the duty has nothing to do with you opting out.a3ads wrote: ↑11 Jun 2021, 02:10Hi I'd like to know more on this what do you mean by material change. If there is no change to said duty then you can opt out. Not, I've opted out so you can't change anything.
Inform rep after duties have finished being screwed over and if applicable, tell rep then.

Re: Office resign
So if the revision is a total mess ( which it is) does the rep have to sign this off , and/or do the staff get a vote on this going through?

There should be a sign off at each stage of the revision.
The idea is it doesn't get to the total mess stage, if it has what's the rep and area rep and branch and members up to?
