Looks the right build and temprement for a bus driver, probably leaves most of the stops a couple of minutes early and says the job would be okay if it wasn't for all the passengers.

but don't be fooled into joining another union, dont waste your money.very few bus and coach companies are big enough to make an impact by withdrawing labour.companies still get their subsidies from the local councils weather they run or not..my advise is work the buses for 3 years then you can go into private coaches....that's where the money is..my father in-law does a trip to the isle of white regular...ever wondered why coach trips always go to markets and shopping centres...drivers get free meal and a very handsome TIP for taking them their.when he goes abroad the passengers will be getting served soap while the drivers in his own room eating stake.and if he hasn't got enough money outta them they volunteer to have a collection for him ffs..........another gravy train anyone :cuppa

going on the reputation that First Group , Stagecoach , et all, have got with the buses and running trains , you certainly do need stewards and a union , and managers have to "justify" their existence and do "appraisals " by dishing out hearings, warnings , suspensions & sackings .

Thanks everyone for the support. :wave :wave
An update, as promised. I went for another interview today with another bus company & got the job. :Very Happy :Very Happy
I got 29/30 on the signs & top marks on the theory. Then a driving assessment & then the interview. Better pay & conditions than the other company, so I'm going for it. I get a phone call tomorrow when I find out when my medical is, when I pass that they send my licence away & fast track it & then I'm off. Can't wait to hand my notice in, I'll post a copy of my letter when I do it.
Had another sh1t day at work today being bullied by the usual arsehole. DUM didn't want to know as usual as it might disrupt his cushty life, so can't wait to get out. Apparently I've got a good case for constructive dismissal, so will take advice on that. Even if I just get a long overdue apology from RM, that'll be good.

*-if you already have a psv license companies will kill babies to keep you .simple supply and demand there arnt enough to go round so until things change you really dont need a union .youll get all you want and more and if they sack you (wont happen)20 other companies will be right on you
For your objection's to union's is a disgrace to the working man/woman for if the lower class did not all form a union (A combined effort together we would still not have a vote in this very land!.) Or maybe that is the crozier way!. LET US NOT FIGHT TO DAY NOR ANY DAY AND LET'S HOPE IT ALL GOES AWAY IS "cantypeANDSHOUTS" MOTTO!. FOR SLEEP IS TO HARD TO FIGHT FOR THE LIKE'S OF HE!. WE NOW HAVE TO CAST A SIDE THE LILY LIVERED AND FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT'S AS ONE TOGETHER!

Some right horror stories on the blood bus link that dwatticus kindly provided for us - especially the It could happen to you in the them and us section , seen that style operated to instill discipline , all about getting rid of people cheaply so they don't have to pay for this and that -don't need a union -my a***
