Re: Mondays
You should have a say on the Proposed Revisions. You, and your colleagues, should be given a list of options to solve your Unit's problems: i.e Longs & Shorts ... Which day to have Longs ... what time to Start & Finish etc. Once you've discussed it the final decision should be in your hands, with a vote if necessary.
The Revision is NOT meant to be about the Unit Rep & The Dom working out what they "Think" everyone else wants, and then hammering a square peg into a round hole!
Have you, and your colleagues, been involved in the Revision Planning?... because you're meant to be.

Re: Mondays
Who told you that? I had to question that recently, with the Area Delivery Rep, and was told that it should still be 1/6 of households a day. At the begining of Covid it was suggested that all Households should be prepped on Monday and have a "Warm Delivery" across the week, when that address had other priority mail. That's probably where whoever told you heard it.mallard63 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2021, 21:27Actually we will be finishing at 1500 after the currently ongoing full revision; this is going to be the longest shift of the week. It will need to be if we get, for example, 6 D2D that week, as that will mean prepping over 6000 items on Monday morning. Could be some extra bags required that day.
Apparently, Royal Mail want all D2D prepped on the Monday!!
This is a moot point because a lot of Posties like to prep all their Households this way anyway, and have done for years. Normally they'll throw them off on a Saturday .. in their own time
Plus point for prepping Households daily is: You've got some RM work to do if the truck's late (and you find yourself without any mail to sort) AND you actually get paid to throw them off instead of doing them for FREE!

Re: Mondays
Terry P and Mark Bulch have both said it in their recent podcasts and it’s also in some of the CWU revisions literature as well.Dorset Plodder wrote: ↑03 May 2021, 17:10Who told you that?
