Same as ours, they didnt want to let them work this week to avoid having to pay them for xmas day & boxing daySpacePhoenix wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025, 19:41Ha, downgraded to 2C then, currently all DSA is classed as 2C.
Just about all Xmas casuals were gone Friday. Angard/casuals have been used every night for a few years now, won't be too long before they outnumber proper RM staff2chorizon wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025, 18:30Don’t forget in 48hrs time it will all be over and there will no longer be any real viable excuse not to clear the frame and all the D2D’s and anything else that “xmas” has been used as an excuse for!
For MC’s overtime will be cut to the bone and all those agency staff will have to get used to picking up the odd shift again rather than coining it in since november!
Merry Christmas![]()

The MP turned up wearing a stupid Christmas hat and carrying a box of chocolates.
The MP is an insufferable dick.
Why exactly do they do this?

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's like managers who harass from the beginning of November (if not the whole year) then turn up with a tub of sweets in the last week before Christmas and think you'll love them forever.

The batches last night were about a full tray per walk.
Previous years Boxing Day night staffing has been done using volunteers, this year they had everyone in, way too many staff. For the items processed they must have blown the budget.

Don't have high hopes for being on my own duty tomorrow. Here's the last five days we've cleared the whole duty, in reverse chronological order:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Monday
- December 30th
- October 23rd
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

Managed to bag up the worst two loops in the frame, some had 30+ letters, first time we have taken any loops out since 9th January, made me laugh, one woman had a new bank card in her mail, that bank had cancelled, thinking it had gone missing

Only a slight shower where I am and a bit windy first thing. Also very quiet, mail and parcels, easy day!

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Evri appear to have taken up residency in an empty unit across the street from the office. The competition intensifies... oh wait, they're heading out at 0815 while I'm only just turning up to work and won't hit the street for another 2½ hours. I used to love Saturdays when I was heading out in the crewbus at that time.
Any Questions?

From watching the Evri peeps that seem to work my exact route, they only last as long as their vehicle. As soon as their vehicle starts to have issues, they disappear and are replaced by someone who’s car still works.Mr Rush wrote: ↑14 Feb 2026, 20:22Evri appear to have taken up residency in an empty unit across the street from the office. At our local Evri "DO" down here in Yorkshire they're loading their cars at about 10.30, I wonder if they run a day behind up your way, oh yeah reminiscing again I remember the crewbus, leaving the office at 7, in summer before it got too hot was great, no chance these days it's bloody hot when we get there.Mr Rush wrote: ↑14 Feb 2026, 20:22Evri appear to have taken up residency in an empty unit across the street from the office.
