Interaction with a business address today:

'I haven't had any letters for a month.'
>No, that can't be right, I bring them out every other day since you get so much.
'I mean my home address.'
>Oh, that sounds about right. We just can't get anything done. We're all just doing packets all day every day.
'Don't they take people on at Christmas?'
>Oh, yeah, there's loads of agency about. They're doing packets all day too. 10,000 turn up every day. The letters are not moving.

I should have told her the local MSP is visiting tomorrow off the back of an abundance of constituent complaints. I also should have clarified that when I say I was just doing the packets I mean Tracked. And when I say Tracked I mean just the T24s. Who could have forseen this?

It's a vicious cycle, though, when the public notices only Tracked items are shifting. Then we end up with this Christmas and almost everything is Tracked. Now the failures are inevitable.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

2 trays of mail, big bundle of cards, mixed trays, double mail, loads of packets and rained all day!
Agency have been trying to get workers to do Sunday as the forecast is very busy so probably be an overspill Monday from that. Still loads of of Xmas cards in the boxes today so no let off coming up.

I think the Christmas operation would have been a lot smoother if they had locked the managers away in a room and left us to get on with it.

I know they think they are working tirelessly on our behalf but the sad truth is, everything they touch turns to s**t.

Mech was crazy last night, very little being held by the DTS. A few walks have got 3 trays (probably just to add to the big pile already under the walk frames).
