Aren't theses planners Blue shirts hoping to better themselves,we had a thread on here a while ago about the jobs being advertised in local offices.
I know i saw a flyer on our office notice board about it.

No s**t our planner was ex CWU rep for large millitant office on South Coast. When I asked him why - He replied 'didn't you read the agreement-we are all f***ed' If that is how reps feels up and down the country why not just roll over and ask for mercy?

Tomorrow DIM amd planner going for a meeting in CH/LL area to see when the revision can be put in place. Been postponed for last 2 months, and they want it in place. Told everyone to vote no on revision as DIM said on floor some months ago no long and shorts. Just found out, long and shorts in all town duties. So hope he gets go ahead, then hopefully we will throw it all out.

One of the biggest flaws is actually beyond everyone's control,and delays or not has already taken place,RM in it's wisdom has paid for everything up front!
so rather than saying we'll take 20 WSM's on approval,we've bought the bloody lot,our mail centre should be issuing us with at least 60% walk sequenced,but we're lucky if we're getting 20%.
i know it may have been better before,but it wasn't cost effective,however everythings been based on assumptions,500 delivery points for example.
one more thing,the sequenced mail is supposed to save time,so if they assume it takes 50mins to prep your mail,and the machines will save you 10mins,what if it only took you 35mins anyway?

You work say 1hr less on a Tuesday and say 30mins more on a Wed & Thur.

Long and shorts are a reaction to daily fluctuations in traffic,ie.monday is always quieter than friday,so rather than having a standard 8 hour shift,you could work less hours earlier in the week,and more later in the week,this also can give a shorter day on the saturday(for now at least)

Has anyone read the January edition of Courier?

I searched and searched, but not one word about Revisions, P&L or HCTs.... Absolutely amazing editing. How can the editor of this thing manage to edit it without any reference to the Gloriously Sucessful Revisions and the Happy Smiling Posties?

Even the USSR's Pravda at its worst managed stories about Pig Iron Production increasing year-on-year, when no such thing was really happening.

our DOM pulled us all to the front of the office this morning and explained that an email had been sent to all delivery managers saying all offices that have not gone live would be suspended till further notice due to the whole thing failing.

followed up by, anybody wanting to work at sheepscar office over the weekend please come and see me.

its defo true, i read it on here last night and told one person in the DO that i knew would put it about, an hour later the DOM came out and started with- a few people have approached me this morning........

he did say that all offices tha had not gone live, we have WSqM in and were due a planner in nov, then jan but now its off until further notice.
we usually have to force his hand to tell us anything but when he does its quite a full and frank statement and he did say all office that had got as far as walk and loop were in trouble, followed up with "oh, and david cameron would like to thank you all for your hard work over the xmas period" again totally true, other offices must have heared the same.... surely. :dcfo

No-one else has heard this so I call BS.
