Two hours into my single duty, still have 90 tracked and 4 loops to go. It's not even December yet. Asked for help none given. Managers not answering phones, what to do?

Sack the mail off and concentrate on tracked. If you think you’ll go over (and don’t mind OT) then keep trying to get hold of the manager to ask them to confirm OT. If you can’t get hold of them bring back what you have left on time and if questioned show your manager the proof you have tried to contact them numerous times though out the day.

Take it back. From now on, take 30 minutes less than you think you can do and stretch it out in necessary.

Really late starting delivering (10:00), because of waiting around for the lorries.

But we pulled it out of the bag by about 14:00 so all good.

Still on "seasonal hours" so an hour(ish) less than Weds /Thurs etc. Finished at the time we`d normally finish on Wednesday. Booked an hour overtime. Decided to complete, partly to show DOM that this is how long this walk actually takes, and also because tomorrow will be an absolute shower. Still, more overtime for me *rubs hand together*

Why is your office still doing seasonal hours? They were ditched for the remainder of 2025.

Untouched by the Network Review? Must be nice. We're supposed to dispatch at 11AM but in reality it's almost noon :evil/mad before we drop a letter (if, perchance, we actually took any).

New start: 'I thought we'd be delivering letters in the morning'.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

Older customers at 3/4/5 pm : 'Morning postie' or 'Oooh, you're late today'

Excellent! Waste of time and paper. Hope we get told that 😁

You will still need to write one out if the customer isn't in for the redelivery

Lots of people don't write one for the first attempt, I do in the hope they will inflight the parcel elsewhere

Likewise. There are so many Chinese Whispers because management are just winging it. No-one will come out and state what they want us to do , because orders from on high seem to be changing by the hour. Fire fighting management. Embarrassing.

Massive pain in the arse if the customer goes to the CSP looking for it, though. Assuming it was filled-in correctly in the first place, it's handy to have a piece of paper for the Day 1 item you will have to desperately search for.
Any Questions?
