The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Are you "local-ish" to there or is it that bad they're offering flights over? Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
Londonderry is about as far away in Northern Ireland as you can get from where i am, a couple of hours. When i left RM i actually worked for a company based there, although i worked where i lived and only had to go up there to get my van and when i retired i left it back up.scoobymunster wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025, 17:43Are you "local-ish" to there or is it that bad they're offering flights over? No idea if they would extend it out of NI to bring in posties from the mainland but it could end up there.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
Have to say it's been a pretty consistent level of failure.
151 or so is a level that should have consequences, but it won't.
Lord help the humble postie.

Find it strange that Southend isn't on the list while the local paper is running a story on delays in the area

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
Tomorrow will mark 80 days of Whitwood being on the naughty list. Almost 12 weeks, nearly 3 months. A quarter of the year!
I know at some point in the future it will be resolved and I know deep down I’ll look at the list in shock, not seeing the name on there as my eyes flicker back and forth in panic as a part of me will die, but until then it feels like an institution - like the Coca Cola truck, or the changing of the guard, or the opening bars of Match Of The Day.
Thank you Whitwood and management for being sh1t. After all, it’s your business to run x

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
It was relayed to me that we are in the bottom 20% nationally, and I see almost all our neighbouring units on the list too.
There are ~1,400 offices in the country and 60 offices (not postcodes) appear on the list today. That's just 4% - a lichen growing on the tip of an iceberg.

Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

My DOM and his arse-licking lackey have been selected from our area to go all-expenses paid. Lackey is good tbf, but how many lap-top warriors do they need for exact data of how much of a bin-fire it is?. What with the money spent on this, crap TV adverts and solar-powered post boxes that don`t work, when are WE going to get a lick of the lolly?scotchy1962 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025, 18:30Londonderry is about as far away in Northern Ireland as you can get from where i am, a couple of hours. When i left RM i actually worked for a company based there, although i worked where i lived and only had to go up there to get my van and when i retired i left it back up.scoobymunster wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025, 17:43Are you "local-ish" to there or is it that bad they're offering flights over? Nobody took up the offer in my old office.
No idea if they would extend it out of NI to bring in posties from the mainland but it could end up there.

On today's BBC news, they visited mount pleasant mail centre this morning, interviewed Ricky McCauley, pretty sure he said out of 1250 delivery offices he thinks only around 50 have any issues with delivery
