Perhaps the DOM's used scorecard accountability when requesting vans,

So, we currently have a DOM, and 3 line managers covering 3 postcode area's. After the restructure, will we just have 3 managers ?

We are the same except we cover 7 postcodes. In theory yes this is what will happen with each new COM being responsible for an average of 40 posties. In practice none of the screws in our place have any clue how it will actually work in practice. Will each section have its own A/L, reserves, overtime, special lockers, seniority, union rep. The list goes on. I think secretly they're all hoping they get moved somewhere else or get a pay off. Apparently they'll all know by mid April where they're going. After that the transfer to individual fiefdoms could take years.
