What's the actual dimensions of the F4 size?

Well curently anything over 61cm x 46cm x 46cm goes to parcelforce
But from monday 45cm x 35cm x 16cm and over will go to parcelforce.

It is about 13% of all the inward heavy & large in an MC
You will lose ALL your outward large too from monday as it will be redirected to PF not your MC.

Most of out outward large currently goes to the Midlands hub.

Same as usual in my DO, I'm certain Tracked are up 10%/20% on this time last year but post has dropped by around a third!!

For DOs they are but for inward MCs they are falling due to the increasing numbers of parcels going as direct yorks to DOs from the hubs.

The "large" are due to go over to PF soon, we'll have to see how it works out in practice with what sizes of parcels do vanish from inward MCs. We need to know what RM will want us to do if one of the ones that should have gone over to PF has made it into a packet sleeve. Will the large setups vanish and everything left go into the sleeves? Don't know if packet staff have had any briefing yet but other staff haven't, given how big a change it is, management should for each shift, gather all staff together and go over all the changes that will be happening and answer any questions that staff have got.

If the "large" setups vanish from inward MCs then I'd imagine that RM plan on having "large" setups going from DOs, depending on how much of the work that gets done by the DPRs ends up moving over to PF.

Have DOs had any formal briefings yet about the changes, if you have, what's changing? It'll give us in inward MCs some sort of idea as to what will be changing at the inward MCs.

We're getting shedloads of larger parcels now - like the Amazon boxes full of tins of beans or dog food that people can't be arsed to go to their local supermarket for. And why tf do Amazon put them in those crappy boxes which have invariably fallen to pieces by the time they get to the DO. We find all sorts of random stuff in the bottom of the white yorks now.

Don't understand the PF thing. On the one hand allegedly they're going to take larger parcels but we're going to take their customer collections?

Within 10 years we'll have all been replaced by casuals. Think it's a matter of when, not if RM start to phase in owner drivers into deliveries.

I think that at whatever point in our system they fall apart they should be returned to sender with a scan reporting the reason why, something like inadequate packaging then the recipient can see why their items haven't arrived as planned plus it might encourage the sender which is usually Amazon to modify their process.

Parcels are definitely increasing, in particular Amazon, as mentioned, with their grocery items. That said, I didn’t have a day last week where I had more than 3/4 of a tray of walk sorted letters. I’ve never known it so quiet.

Last few weeks I'm getting 3 fully jam packed yorks with loads of 10kg plus items.
I'm sure I'm delivering 500kg plus per day now and it's starting to take it's toll on me.

RM seem to have tons of data available, I think it's about time on DPR routes a total weight figure is incorporated.
